heya

I was just wondering if anyone else has found any problems with their volume 3 of Tsukihime? My disc loads alright but when it goes to the title page, there's nothing there but a dot (the normal dot). Everything else work alright but its just a real disapointment to just have a blank screen instead of the usual artwork. So yeah, I was wondering if this was a problem with only my dvd or with the majority of the discs. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've just tested this disc in my brand new Panasonic player [model DVD-S27] and every menu on the disc works fine. It also works fine in my Lite-On DVD-ROM drive.

What brand/model is your player? It doesn't happen to be a Pioneer, does it?

Problem confirmed on my Pioneer DV-676A and Xbox, haven't checked any other player yet, seems like same issue as Samurai Champloo v2 (which I haven't picked up yet). Only the main menu doesn't load, the other menus do, and all contents plays ok.

Thanks for the replys. No it doesn't seem to be my player, I've checked it on two other players and the main menu still won't load. Luckily I was able to return it and get a refund. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a copy that doesn't have this error.

Thanks everyone for your help

Hi Everyone,

We have sourced the problem, which was due to a way of encoding the motion menus. Most DVD players can handle it, but some can't. WE have fixed it and is due to go to replicators some time this week.

Replacement discs should be available in around 4-5weeks time.

What kind of players can't handle this encode? Like, old players or something?

While at risk of sounding like a newb will these replacement discs be on store shelves in 4-5 weeks (i.e. replacing the old ones)? Or will we have to send them off by mail for replacement?

Available for replacement via mail, I imagine. It'll take a bit longer for them to hit the shelves, since they'll only filter in as the old stock is used up.

Since the disks are compatible with most players, it won't be recalled. It will be available via replacement via our customer service department.

Hey I know it's a bit late but I recently bought volume 3 and had the same problem on my Phillips DVD625K.

As for getting the replacement, is it possible if I could turn up at Madman's department in Collingwood and get it there or like the previous members said get the replacement by mail.
