I was wondering why you guys love F.M.A. so much so i thought id start this thread.
I love F.M.A. for these reasons ; Its very well written with alot of plot twists, back story and originality. The characters are very enjoyable, their funny and have lots of character development, they also have great character designs, no 2 characters in F.M.A. look the same. The show gets good very quickly, i got hooked from episode 1 and since then it only got better and better. The music is awesome, its a good thing the OSTs come with tins. The animation is very vibrant and the cover art isnt the best but its still impresive.
So why do you love F.M.A. _________________ I'm 13 and a music fantatic.

The many varied characters, all with their own agendas, is a positive. With 51 episodes, it gives plenty of time to everyone.
Associated with this is the backstory of the show's world. A past wide scale traumatic event for the adults, against a more recent one for the Elrics. The limits placed on alchemy is good, especially at the beginning, as it stops it drifting into "magic".
The show also has an emotional component that is hard to find in other shows. It may be because I generally know how something will play out in other shows, but when it comes to Fullmetal Alchemist, there are no "rules" to limit the possibilities. Actions have consequences. |

the characters are so in depth, it's like they are really real. the storyline is great, fairly easy to follow, but just hard enough to leave you asking for more. i am absolutley hooked. _________________ The past tempts us, the present confuses us, and the future frightens us. Most of my reasons have already been mentioned, including art/design, music, characters, story etc, but it's as much the way it all comes together gradually as anything. There's enough little pieces of information for you to form a conclusion in any given episode, but there's enough pieces missing that you could still be very wrong. It's that kind of giving of information right from the get-go (including the complete storyline as well as individual episodes) that makes FMA, (as well as all he other reasons mentioned) such a magnificent show.
It's also got a whole range of emotions. A lot of shows are either "happy/comedic" or "depressing/sad" "horror/scary" but FMA has a nice balance I reckon. _________________ Want a FREE TICKET? Click here!!

It's the first anime i've collected from the start. The story is great, the characters have depth. Pretty much every other reason has been listed!
I really feel sorry for those who have yet to watch it.
Also the music is awesome & the DVD's are great with a good 5.1 setup |

I love FMA 'cuz I'm a sucker for detail. The story is so rich, full of history and those little details that I love looking into (see my "Alchemy 101" thread for example ). Plus, the characters are so full of depth and instantly likeable (save for lothable guys like Kimbly). And the storytelling style, my god. _________________ I have a blog! Nice.
I like it because of the many characters, watching how they "develop", how some of the things that happen reallyy effects the veiwers (Nina), and.. the art.. and.. Bah.. I cant put it all down. Just settle for the fact I like it a heck of a lot for no particular reason |

Yeah. Not some completely hyper, bubble annoying girl who's life is wonderful and thats it. Or some depressed character who never smiles. Its a cross between the two |

I agree, WINRY is pretty hot...
However, i got hooked on FMA because of its great balance of humour and meaningful sotryline.
The whole Nina storyline got to me the most. Sad but at the same time very interesting and plot thickening.... _________________ You poor thing...

I like this show because it is so much different to most anime out there (at least in my opinion). It has a lot more emotional merit, and it has a killer storyline _________________ The Doctor: A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting.

Well i love FMA cos of how it can pull a viewer in and make an emotional connection with the characters in the story. There's something in every character that we can relate to, which, in my opinion, is the key to any good anime. The plot is pretty much flawless, and the character design is awesome. Not to mention that the fanservice in this is there for both genders, not just the guys! It's not repetitive crud either; every episode has something new!
My question is what isn't there to like about it _________________ "There is no coincidence, only Hitsuzen" Yuko, xxxHOLiC

Apparently, according to a "friend", the maths teacher we had last year walks down the stairs like a princess.
