I notice that there is a small glitch when Naru is put into the bear shaped pot ( or whatever it is), its is smiliar to the one reported on this thread
http://madboards.madman.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=19168
but to a lesser extent.

Of course it happens so quick that yo dont notice it unless your looking.

I will report back with evidence and the time code and what dvd player it is ( probably will be wednesday)

If your a madman member, could also have a look on you dvd at the scene I am talking about ( where naru is put in the bear pot by Keitaro's step sister who is dressed like naru.), and look closely.

I will report back as soon as possible

Sorry about the poor picture quaility.

Anyways ignore the black bit in the middle of the screen, becasue the pictures wer taken with a digital camera on a tv screen, not a good mix Sad

I am more concerned with the squares accross the screens

you will be able to see it better when you play it on your dvd palyers.

It is definately noticeable.

I don't think a "duh" is required; I think they were supporting you by confirming that the problem was not carried over from the R1 release and is hence entirely Madman's fault...

i used to live in the country and for a couple of the smaller villadges around we used to have a saying "blink and you'd miss them".

watching this on my copy i think this is a "blink and you'd miss it" kinda thing , literaly it's less than a second , looks to just be a wierd artifaty glitch that slighty reduces the quality.

work around: blink when she's about to be put in the pot and you won't notice.

Correct.
It's always good to have confirmation if it was present on the R1 because it help pinpoints if this was infact an error on madman's behalf, which it seems it is.
We're only helping you by confirming no errors on the R1. Being arrogant to people who are helping is stupid.
This problem affects every disc in Australia, not just you ok.

Sorry about that.

But we already established that it was a R4 problem 2 posts before I said "duh".

And sorry about saying "duh"

*TS01 hits himself over the head*

Please continue...

i kinda forgot one other thing. Just like any dvd, the way it behaves in a player differs to another. You get confirmation from people to show it is not only you dvd player that showed the error. The same goes for the R1. For all you know, my player may be just special enough, but confirmation from another will show that its not just my player showing no error.

Just had to point that out.

We have logged this internally and a fix will be issued.

Please bear in mind that it may take up to 30 days for a fixed verison to be finalised plus replication time.

I am just wondering if its worth sending in my disc, even though I brought it up, when the new dvd is avaliable.

I will see how much the glitch bugs me first.

Its a pity that I dont live in melborune, then I could just walk up Razz .

Its safe to assume that it will be ready for christmas then.

Here is a question for madman, why dont you do random samples of your dvd's to make sure that they are up to quaility.

You probably do this but I wouldnt know Confused

I tested it out on 5 dvd players but only listed 2 of them. The dvd had the same affect on all the dvd players.

Mine came at 16:35-16:36, well, at least that's what the player showed me.

I didn't notice this before. I wonder if it's worth it to go to Madman's company to get a replacement disk.. Rolling Eyes

EDIT: Should have mentioned the DVD player used.
Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-C2612 with PowerDVD as the player.

Please do not come in to get a replacement disc, because there is no point in doing so when a new disc will give you exactly the same resutls

Hi, sorry for being a stick in the mud, but I have a problem
based on the Love Hina Again disc. The disc could not be picked
up or recognised as a disc in my dvd drive, it would just spin up and
down.It would get picked up on my xbox and stop completely on the afformention timecode problem.

I'm more concerned about the fact that the disc would not play at all on my dvd drive on my PC than on the xbox itself.

Any way, my DVD-RW drive on PC is

Liteon LDW-451S

Timecode: disc not recognised on PC after spinning up and down.

PS. I have return the disc for replacement at my local store and
the same problem exists...and every other discs I've bought from
Madman NZ never had this odd and severe problem and they still work fine on my PC and my xbox. It's the first time anything like this has happened. I hope that when the disc is fixed, this problem doesn't occur.(fingers crossed)

Thank you for you for listening. :)

i've also got a liteon dvd-rw drive , haven't had this issue , as seen above it played my copy fine.

something silly like dma being disabled hasn't happened has it that can sometimes make it go whacky. wierd that it doesn't work in the xbox too though.

Yip, Ultra dma (running a Nforce2 mobo with one gig of ram with a
asus 9800xt. Planning a upgrade as soon as vista is out. :D )

It could just be how the disc was formatted, that's the only reason
I can think of for PCs..don't really know about the xbox though.

I've look at the two disc and If I'm right in assuming from what I know,
the two disc are single sided layer 5 disc in UDF format.. while the appleseed movie is dual layer 9. (checking other layer 5 discs)...

nope previous layer 5 discs have no problem playing...

"Bump"

Is Love Hina again been fixed already? The local shops here in Wellington (NZ) have them again, but I've still got no word about a fixed dvd version.

PS

Just watching my Love Hina Again DVD, and I noticed a glitch - thought I'd see if it was mentioned on these forums, and fair enough here it is...

Any more on the fixed release? <blowing wind noise>
