I like the cover art. Oh and episode 25:
I suspect it's got a lot of similarities to hughes' death like in the manga via Envy. Just speculation at this point but.

More like he ends up in a load of deep ****. Wink Sorry for being sarcastic but the synopsis for volume.7 is a bit off a give away.

Probably not if you've never had it previously spoiled or read the manga.

Considerable danger? Seriously Phoenix its a dead giveaway. Someone should tag all these posts about what happens in episode 25. Us talking about it is a big spoiler to those who havent seen it.

the title of episode pretty much states that someone leaves anyway. (had to tag that part just in case).
but volume 7 rocks anyway!

Oh, ****!!! They killed Hughes?!! Not Hughes?!! ****, that sucks!!! I didn't so much cry, as I did beat the living crap out of the lounge arm chair. I think I came closer to tears when Ed saw him on the Railway Station platform waving.

I like Izumi. Tough... well, very tough, really... Check that, extremely tough. But Cool, never the less. Her heart's certainly in the right place. Smile

Luv4winry, if you could swing a wrench like Winry in episode 26, then you would be dangerous. Razz

The moment episode 28 ended, I caned the lounge arm again, knowing I've gotta wait two months until I find out about the kid that popped out of the brush. Ah, the pains of buying singular volumes.

I believe some clue is given in the new intro. If my eye's didn't decieve me, you get a glipse of him with one of the hommuniculis things...might have been envy.

The outro with Winry <3

I'm fine, apart from the torment that comes with waiting two whole months for the next volume of Full Metal Alchemist. Which, by the way, is so excruciating, that having a deformed midget that's eight foot tall and smelling of chicken **** poking my eyes out with needles, nailing my hands to the ground over and over with a high powered nail gun, and taking to my knees with a sledge hammer covered in barb wire, would be far more humane a form of torture. Like I said, though, other than that, I'm fine.
So, how about you? Very Happy Razz

You mob are lucky. I ordered my copy from EzyDVD, and they still haven't shipped it yet *not happy* what is it about FMA that makes them ship it out later than all the other DVD's I order from them? Usually anything I pre-order gets sent out two days after the release date (which I'm not overly pleased about but I can live with it) FMA on the other hand... grrrrrrr.

Got my copy yesterday and got to watch it last night.

I must be a cold hearted monster though since Hughes death did nothing to me, i was sad and all but really couldn't get into it

I was very pleased aboutfinally getting to see there teacher though she's not exactly what i was expecting, though anyone who can beat the crap out of ed without breaking a sweats alright in my books

*sigh* June can't come soon enough

The OP and ED are pretty nice.

I finally got, and watched, my copy yesterday! *dances* Mind you it took a phone call. Grrr....

I know. I feel the same way, though I have an incling...I like the preview though, Ed mentions a scar on his shoulder...I wonder if it was the right shoulder....hmmm....

Indeed, 'tis Envy. Actually I thought that the resemblance between the two was more than a little bit of a giveaway, though maybe I just have an overreactive imagination.

Me too. Elica was the saddest part of that IMO. Hughes' death was really too quick in itself to be sad. I thought it was worse in the manga, but maybe that was because I didn't expect it then

Balsnac wrote:

Enter Izumi, Stage right! My favourite character has finally made an entrnace. Literally! I loved it Very Happy
I can't wait for June to see what she does to Ed next! For a few moments, I actually felt sorry for Ed and Al. Especially Al for some reason, maybe because I felt that Ed needed a good beating...Bring on June...

Why does Izumi have a tattoo on her like the homocculi do?

It's not a homunculus mark, it's just a tattoo - it's the same symbol as the one on Ed's coat and Al's shoulder. (It seems to be a teacher-to-student thing, because we meet Izumi's teacher later on, and she has the same emblem.)

GAH! you spoiled it for me Razz

I thought the symbol was more of an "any" alchemist thing like something they wear to show that they're alchemists because it's just a tweaked version of the real one that doctors have.

Sorry, sorry~~~ I guess you're joking, but I probably should tag it anyway. Wasn't thinking it needed a tag at the time, but just to be safe... *edits*

Anyway, I guess it could be an "any alchemist" symbol, but I don't think any others in the series use it.

(eek! first time I posted this, I accidentally clicked "Edit" instead of "Quote" and wrote this into Balsnac's post!)

ok, so im reviving a bit of an old thread, but with Izumi's mark...

has anyone noticed that Al's armour has that as well? was it there before Ed put his soul there, or did they print it on later?

It was added later. Ed has the same symbol on his coat as well.

I hate to double post but...

In the alchemy booklet for this volume, the middle page has Roy and Riza in front of
Hughe's grave
my point is about the little boxes that display second-by-second scenes
i wouldn't have thought it would be about scar and ed in volume 4...wouldn't it be more fitting to have some scene with roy and hughes, or the scene where hughes dies?
