Hi all!

I am making this thread for all of those who wish to ask any questions and discuss the show in general instead of it clogging up the forum. This will also assist any new InuYasha fans who are getting into the series.

Until the movies are released here can we NOT try and spoil other peoples excitement and anticipation of them. When they are released I will then post a thread so we can all talk about them.

PLEASE DO NOT POST UNWARNED SPOILERS. Remember to use spoiler tags to black out any spoilers you post.

Have fun and thanks Very Happy

F.A.Q's ABOUT MOVIE 1

This is just for those who are unaware of where movie 1 slots in.

Movie 1 is sort of slotted in between episodes 53 and 54 where Inuyasha learns the Backlash Wave technique.

MOVIE 2

Slots into between episodes 94 and 95

Hey..I was wondering, is the anime or the manga better of Inuyasha? Cos the local shop only has the manga. Or are they both good?

In my opinion, they're both pretty similar, but I prefer the anime, 'cuz it's animated and has sound Razz

Anime is always better IMHO Very Happy.....I have the first 3 volumes of IY, upto where Shippo comes in, and even though it is slightly different in some areas, and is great to read, I still prefer the Anime....The relationship between InuYasha and Kagome is captured better Very Happy

To my knowledge (Sankon Tessō): Iron Reaver Soul Stealer and (Hijin Kessō): Blades Of Blood are his original moves before he gets (Tessaiga), or Tetsusaiga as it is known in English.

He uses both of these moves within the first season.

He uses that one in the first episode if I remember correctly

Please only read my Question if you've seen the 2nd movie!
Is Inu Yasha and Kagome's first kiss in this movie?
Coz I saw the movies before I was up to that part, but I'd say it is.

I would have to agree with you there.....It is the same as Sesshomaru's Dokkasō: (Poison Flower Claw): and Whip of Light:, although he has the ability to transform into a full yokai (demon) until he gets both of his swords, he too only has this ability.

I dont recall an episode that actually tells you how they learnt them.

So there are plans to release the movies here? I've only just discovered the series, and though I got an import copy of Movie 3 - Swords of an Honourable Ruler today, buying them as imports is a rather expensive way to complete my collection...

They sure do. Just go to their website...put InuYasha into search and 'Unleash the hounds' (I love that Very Happy)...and you'll get a list of every single DVD they've got in stock...which I think is all of them...

Man...sounds like I work for them...

Madman haven't released all of the InuYasha DVD's just yet, So far as I can tell, they've still got a few to go, however Seasons 1 & 2 at least have been released, infact, the Season 1 complete boxset is being released in May.

kbz333: with regards to your original question, Sanity could probably order them in if you ask, while I was working in Clare I got the music shop to get in all my Madman DVDs (support local business etc etc). All you have to do is ask the staff if it's possible and they'll tell you yes or no, but most places like Sanity would be more than happy to get a DVD in. They might ask for a deposit (in case you don't come back), but they'd still get it in for you.

If there's a Target nearby you could look there, Target have a fair range of anime now.

kbz333: You might want to try your local Video store aswell. I do know that Blockbuster can actually get them in for you, as they deal with the AVChannel, who Madman go through.

As far as I know, and are aware of, most Video stores can do a backorder for titles.

Hopes this helps. Very Happy

Question: when exactly does the first box get released? in the Anime Update I got in my copy of Howl's Moving Castle (I think it was number 8 or 9) It said that the first season boxset had been released on March the 17th (I'll scan the page later if you'd like), but according to Madman's Catalogue Entry it doesn't get released until May the 17th (17/05/2006) Confirmation either way please.

(Mezzo DSA has the same problem, but that's another story really)

I don't know if many people read the manga, but since this is discussion as well as FAQ, I thought I'd just say I'm up to the 4th vol and Inuyasha's getting more and more protective of Kagome Laughing They make such a good couple, Inu is turning out to be nce after all. I'm loving it Razz

A question: I looks up "Yasha" on a translator, and it said female demon. I know Inu means dog, so whats up with that?

i'm not sure on that - i've seen the translation as "female" but only once... the second kanji doesn't come up with anything when i've translated but the last kanji symbol means "night" Before that i had read it just meant "dog demon" any way, we all no the first bit is "dog" Laughing

I prefer to translate Inuyasha as "Dog Yaksha".

The reason why people think "female" is because many Japanese to English dictionaries list the meaning of "yasha" as a "a (female) demon" where "female" is just about always put in a bracket.

But if you go to the link about Yaksha, you'll see that it's not just a simple case of translating it to "demon".

Okay, I've a got a question. We're up to what... volume 25? Where is Naraku hiding? I thought maybe that place between the world of the living and dead since they say that he's in a place where no one can get to him. But that's where the last shard is, isnt' it?
