I just got next months Foxtel Mag and it looks like initial D is returning to Cartoon Network.

Gundam Seed is staying but I dont know whether it is Seed repeating or Seed Destiny.

Cheap lazy buggers, they've already shown Initial D through 2 or 3 times on Adult Swim. Dang, I was hoping we'd see FMA and GS replaced with some new series.

Shoulda known better >.<

I can't say I was terribly surprised to read this news, what with the new Fast and the Furious movie and all... perhaps CN is hoping for a popularity boost for Initial D as a result.

But yeah, I would've thought some new series were on the cards as well. It's well and truly time for new Inuyasha at the rate the DVDs are being released, and since they're showing Gundam Seed then it'd make sense to show Destiny as well. Maybe even Eureka Seven, since it's currently playing in the US.

til the english dub for the rest of initial d happens i doubt we will past 2nd stage on western tv networks, let alone on our dvd shelves..

Not really.

Initial D never played in the US.
Fullmetal Alchemist was screened in seprate seasons vs the once through like Cartoon Network did here.

Shows are also screened uncut here.

Ummmm no.

FMA has been shown with no breaks and as of last night has finished its second running of the whole series in a row. So thats about 104 episodes back to back ( given that the second 52 was repeats).

FMA has been showing on Cartoon network since about Feb I remember right. I dont know what you are talking about a 2-3 month gap on CN - I must have fallen asleep for about that amount of time to actually miss it.

As for Initial D on CN it will be its 3 running of the series ( up to the end of the 2nd series) on CN. Gundam seed is also on its second running on CN and is about to finish its second run and going on for a thrid run ( thats if they are not airing Gundam Seed Destiny).
