With eBay and other online auction sites there is a plethora of anime related stuffs just waiting to be bought *just gotta watchout for the bootlegged stuff*
That and the sunday markets. Heck i found an old Robotech VHS a while ago *but i didnt ahve the $4 at the time to pay for it ><*

SO anyway, a thread for your recent finds, be it sunday markets, garage sale, eBay/auction sites and so on

On the weekend i recently won an auction for Volume 1 and 2 of Oh! My Goddess Laserdiscs for $5 each! *plus $10 postage ($5 each) to ahve it sent* Which is a bargain really considering the age of them and no longer made. I did try also for You're Under Arrest laserdiscs but was outbid

pictures!

i'll be taking pics when they arrive hopefully this week Very Happy

while i dont have an LD player yet, its not much of a concern at the moment as its more collective purposes =3

A couple of weeks ago, I spent 7600 on Black Saber (Fate/stay night) and Suigintou (Rozen Maiden) PVCs, which I am expecting any time soon. On the weekend I snapped up one of the last Max Factory Haruhi (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu) figures (UD$40), and today I ordered Akari (ARIA), Yomiko (READ OR DIE) and Arche (Tales of Phantasia) for 17980. I will also make some preorders in a couple of weeks, but this is all for now.

Haruhi is the only real find here. Whilst it will be more readily available from the end of April, I managed to pick up one of last units for the February release. These sold out pretty quickly, so I was amazed to find one Wink The next step is to wait for Max Factory to start showing pictures of the Mikuru and Yuki figures that will go with it!

Here are some pictures, just taken from the HLJ website.

I am going to purchase Galaxy Force Convoy next week. Otherwise, I don't whatever I got at Manifest. I haven't really purchased much of anything lately, let alone merchandise.

I have that one sitting on my shelf right now, I love it. I'm crying I did not see the Haruhi available though, Would have snapped that up in a heartbeat.

I am just awaiting delivery on.... Motoko (GITS)
and Fate (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) .... I would have prefered she had the scythe but the "Alter" version of Nanoha was great so I'm sticking with them for Fate too.

I want the Alter Fate (it is easily the best looking Fate figure out there), but missed the preorders; I will definitely place an order once it is released.

EDIT: By the way, HLJ had already maxed its quota for the Haruhi figures when I checked at 6am, so you would have had to camped the site over-night to get one there :\

Please stop talking about PVC's, i have had to stop myself from ordering them... as it was getting out of hand. On that note though, the last one i let myself buy was the latest Yomiko one, which is just awesome.

Come on, you know you would change your mind if Bubba's Haruhi were released as a PVC Wink

Or at least give me the Haruhi one Razz

I have her too. She's a lot nicer then the Kanaria and Souseiseki they (Yujin) released, unfortunately I missed out on Suiseiseki - didn't know what Rozen Maiden was back when she was released Sad

Anyway, my most recent purchase was the Limited Edition Mushishi....digest....thing. I haven't watched it yet, so I don't know what exactly it is. It came with many awesome extras and is verrry pretty Very Happy Box, DVD/extra stuff and Ginko figure from various angles.

Before that, I bought the 1/6 swimsuit Saber by clayz at Supanova.

A very kind and caring Madboard member directed me towards HLJ. I am forever thankful for that. But there is obviously more places. Please supply directions.

Bean bag? Good for packing all Elric's figurines and run away in a Santa suit. Laughing

Tamarket has a wide selection, though I never bought any myself. Don't want to start now, because once I start, I can't stop!

HLJ has the best prices (for Australians) that I have seen, excepting Japanese-language sites. There are dozens of places, but I would recommend HLJ to most people.

I'm paying $63 Aus to HLJ.... postage will probably be another $20 as I'm impatient and use EMS.

as has been mentioned already in this thread, Hobby Link Japan is pretty much the way to go for figurines, good selection of Gundam models too.
only negative they have against them is their site can be a little confusing at first.
As for alternatives, I havn't tried any of the other stores.

Yeah, HLJ has a horrid site. I look for things elsewhere, then once I know what I want I go to HLJ to buy it Wink I have tried a half-dozen or so different places and HLJ definitely has the worst site, but the only place I have found with better prices is Hobby Stock, but it is in Japanese. A good site, but too many kanji for my level.

I ordered most of my stuff from HLJ, but as elric mentioned their site is not the best. Normally i would look for figures on the 2chan figure board (even though, i had no idea what was going on... i just looked at pictures) and then searched on this site as i found it is updated more so then HLJ yo get the exact name, then wait until it shows up on HLJ.

I've never actually ordered from them, but Twin Moons Anime looks alright. Animaxis were pretty good last time I used them. Also try your local comic book shop. The Previews catalogue usually has a small but decent range of figures listed every month.

My Patlabor figure arrived recently. It's pretty cool, albeit about 20% less pretty than the pics though.

Got Jump Ultimate Stars (+ postcard book) for DS as well...

...Dammit. That looks awesome, even if the real thing is a 20% decrease! Most of the time I prefer spending my money on DVDs... when one day, when I get some spare cash, I'll gonna place my hands on these figurines Twisted Evil Wait for me!

This thread is turning into a figurines thread (not that I'm complaining). Smile

Yes, when I get some spare cash (i.e. not getting DVDs and Manga and games), I'll start collecting figurines.

How much was it?

I was looking at this really awesome Lacus statue on TAmarket - pricey, but awesome nonetheless...

EDIT: I'll be getting these sometime in the near future

Sorry about the image size - TAmarket have really crappy pics <_<

The .hack one is the first OST, the Tsubasa one is a pencilboard and the Riza one is a PVC Statue ^_^

Mwahaha. Best post ever!

It's easy mate. When you're posting you click the img button above the text box; it will come up as [img] in your post. After . So basically it should look something like this:

Edit: Of course this means you need to upload your photos/pics to a host somewhere. I think most people here use Photobucket.

Just bought the ltd ed Fate/Stay Night 1/8 Bikini Rider figurine.

Here is a link with pics of the figurine I'm getting. Very Happy

It is because of those pics that I decided to get my hands on the figurine. Very Happy

http://animedesho.animeblogger.net/?p=1723

It should look good beside my Saber Swimsuit figurine, though I'm also looking at getting the bikini version as well as Rins.
