The One Piece movie is uncut and seems to be a bit of a trial before possibly picking up the uncut TV series
Madman have contracted to release all of Hellsing Ultimate - whether or not vol 4 or beyond will be dubbed is a matter of debate - Sly is hoping so, but as Geneon USA died shortly after Vol 3 was released there is the possibility it may not be.
And Madman will be releasing at least 1 title this year on Blu-Ray - but no names given (My bet is on Appleseed:Ex-Machina) |

These sound good. I assume the blu-ray title will be something already popular (Akira maybe) as a market probe.
And hooray for guaranteed Hellsing Ultimate.

I'm happy about Hellsing. I won't complain too much if the remainder of it is dubbed or not. I've already collected series that have started off bi-lingual, but ended sub only. So that's no big deal to me.
A test for Blu-Ray. Nice. Something popular sounds right. Akira sounds good. Ghost in the Shell would be my bet, though. |

If it were GitS I'd buy it. I just said Akira because when I think of anime that is well known in the west, Akira is first to come to mind.
Shame Red Ant got Rebuild, I'd fork out a lot for a BD Evangelion Rebuild release.

Warner have WW distribution for Appleseed: Ex Machina as far as I'm aware. However if Madman are able to release the Appleseed and they released it with a lossless audio track I'd buy it in an instance.
Warner screwed up their American release by only having lossy audio.
Mandman please make sure your Blu Ray titles are both region A and region B otherwise I won't be able to purchase it from you guys. |

having a look at my shelf, and then factoring in the chance to show off anime in high quality it would need to be something worth doing in terms of detail and such.
I would have to put my money on GitS 2 : Innocence, since the visuals are nothing short of mindblowing and that there is already a chance that a Hi Def copy exists since it is a recent movie. |

I was just watching the trailers of xxxHoLiC on funimations website and I was thinking about if Madman would pick this up!
Thanks Madman! it's arguebly one of my favourite series.

I've heard a lot about XXholic, so I might pick that up. Looking forward to the Tsubasa movie as well. Reading the manga is one of my guilty pleasures

The xxxHolic and Tsubasa movies are a double feature: they're packaged together in a two disc set (in the US, at least). They were released as a double feature in theaters in Japan. They apparently don't tie in to their respective TV series. I'll be getting it.
