Supanova Pop Culture Expo exploded into Melbourne for the first time in late March and with much fanfare as 6,700 fans packed the Melbourne Showgrounds for the first of what will be many more Melbourne shows, this was followed the week after with a record setting 13,200 people in Brisbane. Madman Entertainment attended in full force with the Madman Mega-Booth making an appearance at both events filled with all the latest anime, manga, otaku wear as well as free giveaways including Death Note / Black Lagoon posters as well as having all three special voice actor guests: Spike Spencer, Monica Rial and Colleen Clinkenbeard signing throughout the weekend.
Announcements made over the weekend at the Madman panel include the acquisitions of Burst Angel Infinity, set for release in July, One Piece TV UNCUT, to be released later in the year completely uncut with both English and Japanese languages and optional English subtitles.
Online streaming of anime was also announced with Madman venturing into free streaming of first episodes of new anime on a to be confirmed basis. The first title to receive the streaming treatment will be School Rumble.

Wow, Melbourne supanova sounded like a whole lotta fun  I'm a regular attendee of the Sydney event; I'm so jealous of you Melbourne guys, you get the best guests ever! Spike Spencer AND Monica Rial; would've paid double to meet them at Sydney Ah well, maybe next year  |
