I believe their plan is to hire out 2 lecture theatres at a time and screen anime, talk about anime, give out advice on places to buy anime/merchandise. it is surposed to be once a week although no dates have been set.

discussing where to buy anime is rather a sore point within WA.

r4 main players are:
JB hifi
ezy dvd

secondary players are

big W
K-mart
target
david jones

r1 stores

empire toys
some comic book retailers

other than that there is nothing within WA to look at major retail chains is rather pointless as its luck of the pick in what they stock if they stock anything at all...
some online local retailers are to avoided as some in the past have been known to stock questionable merchandise, so it's buyer beware...

its great to see another anime club in the wings, unless you own a car and have a valid driver's lic. or live on or near campus your attendance to regular screening isn't going to be alot as public transport is scarce after 6pm of a night time as services to and from the city drop off after 8pm when you want go you may not be able to due to 1-2 hours or longer on public transport on weekdays it's not to bad though a weekend that's when the trouble starts as transport services cease after 6 pm on certain bus routes thus you can get stranded without warning, for a man you might be alright, as a woman your a target for violence being in a group means squat...

Has anyone picked up Disgaea cause i couldnt find it anywhere today, unless its getting a small release like the game.

must be just you, I picked up the last copy from Perth JB.

Disgaea never actually had australian releases, they were American only releases and a European version of Afternoon of darkness (PSP)

Te anime is totally full of fail if you have played the games, but A fan must still buy it I guess. Atleast thats my excuse Smile

thats not true. I usually find when pre-ordering there are copies on the shelves but my copy hasn't arrived! Since then I decided that unless you are friends with the store manager or alot of staff, there is no point in pre-ordering.

1- 4 weeks gemeral turn around for snail mail, i'm affraid..

when it's from MM, unless they sent the voucher to your email addy...

stock wait happens all the time whether you purchase it direct from MM or direct from the local anime store you purchased from..

ordering cycles can be a aggressive go-getter at times..
