In this months newsletter, under the news banner - Madman have stated:

"Big announcement is forth coming
Shiny and magical. What could it be? Find out at the Madman Panel @ Supanova Expo in Melbourne!"

It got me thinking about what it could be and was wondering if any of you guys have any thoughts on it. I'm assuming its a title announcement Smile

Not just one either...

Hmm.

*Inevitable Blu-Ray pondering*

Well, it is shiny.

As are drills.

Would be good if that was one of the aquisitions.
Shakugan No Shana Season 2 as well perhaps.

Only a couple of weeks and we'll know what is announced at Melb anyway.

ya know what, if that were true it would be awesome, a proper release of sailor moon with uncut video, tho it could be sub only, as it never got an uncut dub. not to mention the dub script that remained was G8+ butchered lol.

I'm guessing that all the "big wigs" are going to the Melbourne one instead of the Sydney one. Stop keeping people in suspense Madman. Razz

It's a 1 day event in Sydney. We don't make announcements at 1 day events, nor do we usually hold panels at them.

Supanova Melbourne's crowd is also going to be about 10 times bigger than that of mini. Such big announcements deserves to be done on a big stage.

And yes I did just say announcements there's more than 1.

If silly is a possibility I want to throw Macross 7, Macross Zero and Macross Frontier into the mix. All three currently would be highly unlikely. Sad

If you Google magical and shiny + anime Nanoha gets several mentions on the first page.

The madman stall will at least be at the syd con yes? as that usually proves great for picking up a lot of box sets and manga all at once.

Scratch that just saw the guide, madman has a stall (no.9 to be specific)

Big and shiny automatically makes me think Gundam.

While Sailor Moon or Card Captor Sakura would make me a whole lot happier, I'd say Nanoha is more likely than either of those.

Oh and add me down as also hoping for uncut One Piece.

There's already a dub for it being currently released, so why not a dual language release Wink

Yup there will be announcements unique to both events. Brisbane might even get something extra special depending on a few factors.

That's awesome, although I won't be at either, it's good to know there may at least one acquisition at both events, maybe even two at each. And then a few months later there is Sydney and Perth (which I will be attending Sydney), hopefully even more acquisitions.

well i've been thinking

Gurren Laggen (how ever u spell it even though i'm not interested much yet it is a possibility)

Cardcaptor sakura
Keroro Gunsou (even though US meant to have it last yr but not have it yet)
higurashi

these arent neccisarily wat i want even though 3/4 i do want badly
but what i think is likely or maybe they announce me being the ruler of all anime!!! YAY then i dont need to worry what i want to own and dont want to own cuz ill get it straight away... if it's adapted

Try the first 4 vols. (both SE & LE versions) released in two 2 vol. sets. The SE part 3 (vols. 5 & 6) has been also released but the LE has been delayed.

I can also see El Cazador de la Bruja being licensed over here but I'm not sure it would be this early as Funimation have only just announced that they've got the license recently.

Well we've got D.Gray-man licensed over here already, and in the US haven't even released the first volume yet. So there may be a chance, not that I know what that show is though.

I know what they are they are. Very Happy They are in the new Anime Update, I got it yesterday but only realised today...Stupid me. Mad

The list includes:

Ponyo
Gurren Laggan
5 Centimetres Per Second
Rozen Maiden

Although right next to the 'Mad Acquisitions' is the Madman logo, and a sub heading saying 'Shiny and Magical'. Then underneath "Stay tuned in April as a big shiny and perhaps magical announcement will be made by Madman. It's a good one. Keep an eye out on madman.com.au."

So maybe I didn't find it. Sad
