Okay i know i could just look it up on Google but i want to increase my post count so i can be something else other than Doraemon 
So my question is who shot Kaji? My first impression when i saw this was the Military people but then i suspect it could of been Misato who did it..............hmm.......... i dunno anyways. What do you think? |

Misato??? no way she would never have killed him…it was Pen Pen, he’s behind it all; I bet you he’s even controlling Keel, there in his frig with a joystick and a microphone/translator/emulator… that’s why in the movie Keel turns out to be mostly machine 
Actually I’m not entirely joking, that’s a theory I came up with one day…

Actually considering he killed the Doctor at the end of the Eva movies it is QUITE possible it might have been Gendo. |

That is true... though that was just before he helped end the world, he likely didn't know she was there and there was no one for him to relegate the task to... you are right that does prove he would kill someone with his own hands, except with kaji he presumably would have relegated the task. (if it was him)

Just an FYI I still stand with my Gendo theory.
If not him in person he would still order someone to do it, so it would still be Gendo's underhanded work, one way or another. |

You can't just decide Gendo when it has been stated by the creators it was a random gagagoogoo nameless SEELE/NERV agent.

I think all we can really confirm is as Gouki said "has been stated by the creators it was a random gagagoogoo nameless SEELE/NERV agent" beyond that I think we’ve proved it’s imposable to confirm or rule out who actually gave the order without gaining further information... I wonder if the new movies might give a hint…

Just sat through Eva again out of boredom. I'm led to believe it was Gendo. Misato's grieving seemed to say that she knew he was dead, but not that she was the one that had to do it. Also the way Kaji tells the shooter they're late seems to me to have a sense of familiarity about it, as if he knows the shooter personally.
So for these reasons I'm leaning toward Gendo. Sure the creators may have said that it wasn't, but my reasoning makes sense to me.

I still stand by Gendo having done it or a familiar NERV double agent killed Kaji on orders from Gendo.
Ah well, maybe the Rebuild Eva movies would actually clear that up. |

I always assumed either gendo had ritsuko kill kaji or ritsuko did it without his order.
Made sense back in the day since she was always jealous of misato and kaji plus she was living in her mothers shadow to the utmost degree hence the whole gendo part. |

You see a glove, mostly obscured by shadow, and from behind (before the glove), you kinda see the side of someones face and they have spikey hair, that extends outwards like deadly, spikey mutton chops.
That does not indicate or confirm that it was Gendo Ikari.

Gouki, I stated in the above post that it was an anonymous agent. Then added that in the Manga you can see Gendo's glove - I didn't say I thought it was Gendo
I said the glove was Gendo's because the glove is of the same fashion that he wears
