Because of the stream of newbies to the Gundam world, I figured it might be time to have a FAQ, instead of clogging up the other threads with the same information over and over. Post your questions to get em answered.

Q: What are the various Gundam series?

A: Taken from Wikipedia.

Italics mean it is released in America, Bold means it's released in Australia.

* Mobile Suit Gundam (TV: 1979; compilation movies: 19811982)
* Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (TV: 1985; compilation movies: 2005)
* Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ (TV: 1986)
* Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack (movie: 1988)
* SD Gundam OVA and movies (1988 to 1993)
* Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket (OVAs: 1989)
* Mobile Suit Gundam F91 (movie: 1991)
* Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (OVAs: 1991; compilation movie: 1992)
* Mobile Suit Victory Gundam (TV: 1993)
* Mobile Fighter G Gundam (TV: 1994)
* Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (TV: 1995, compilation OVAs: 1996)
* Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team (OVAs: 1996)
* After War Gundam X (TV: 1996)
* Gundam Wing - Endless Waltz (OVAs: 1997, compilation movie: 1998)
* Turn A Gundam (TV: 1999, compilation movies: 2002)
* G-Saviour (live action TV movie: 2000)
* Gundam Evolve (short clips: 2001-2005)
* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (TV: 2002, compilation specials: 2004)
* Superior Defender Gundam Force (TV: 2003-2004)
* Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO (movies: 2004; OVAs: 2006)
* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (TV: 2004)

SEED Destiny, the sequal to SEED, is about to be released in America, and Australia should be following soon after.

Q: What Gundam games are available?

A: There are about 10 hojillion available in Japan, but I won't mention those. As far as I know, there are none available in PAL, the Australian market. The American releases are, according to the Official Site-

PS1-
Gundam Battle Assault
Gundam Battle Assault 2

PS2-
Battle Assault 3 Featuring Gundam SEED
Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space
Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon
Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow
Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front
MS Saga: A New Dawn

Gameboy Advance-
Gundam SEED: Battle Assault

Q: What is Super Robot Wars? Is it in English?

A: Wikipedia entry on Super Robot Wars. A series of strategic games featuring practically every type of Japanese anime/manga mecha ever released. It is only officially available in Japan, and only in Japanese. And no, it probably never receive an English release.

Also you should remove the Italics on the Zeta compilation movies, as they are definently not out in the US yet.

Apparently MS IGLOO is getting a spin-off titled Apocalypse 0079 sometime later on this year.

Who else had a bitter laugh at the Bold-ised titles?

...

The "compilation movie" is a compilation of the three OVAs that make up Endless Waltz.

Actually, the two SRW Original Generation games have been released in English (in the US) - these games only feature original characters/mecha, though, not licensed ones from anime.
