Hi, I'm a new customer to the site, and before I start I'd just like to say i don't mean to be a burden by asking about my order, I'm just a little concerned and need some reassurance.
I'm wondering what times and days Madman operates. The reason I ask is because I placed an order for a manga bundle (VIA BPAY) on 29 October at 11.54 pm, and according to the FAQ, it takes 24-48 hours for Madman to receive the payments. If my calculations are correct, the payment should have come in by the 31st at 11.54 pm, but I have checked my status and it says "AWAITING PAYMENT"
I have also sent an enquiry about my order to Customer Service on the 1st of November and am awaiting their reply. Does Madman operate on a 24/7 basis, or are the weekends non-business days. If I knew this, it would help me understand why my payments haven't been received yet. |

Madman aren’t open on weekends (or today because it’s a public holiday) and I believe they work from 9:00am-5:00pm.
I wouldn’t worry about it just yet, there very reliable and will probable ship it in the next few days.

Why is today a public holiday? Tomorrow is for Melbourne Cup day and some places get today off but I am pretty sure it is not a holiday today in VIC. |

I am guessing that a lot of the staff would have booked annual leave for today or taken TIL (if applicable) or RDO's (if applicable) so as to get a 4 day weekend. I wouldn't stress about your order though, once it is processed you will get it in no time. I think sometimes BPay can take a couple of days to clear, am not 100% sure on that though. It has happend to me when I've bought stuff from elsewhere and used it and my account wasn't debited for about 3 days. |

Normal Business hours.

Given that BPAY is bank based, it has nothing to do with madman, it's all up to the banks to process it and it depends if you are the same bank or not. Given the 29th was a Thursday, it would of started processing the payment (BPAY that is) on Friday so it may not appear with a status change until tomorrow, unless Friday was a public holiday then it may not have started until today.

Not to be rude or anything but you are an impatient one, you can't just expect things to be magic and be done ASAP, plus it was a weekend so you have to take into account of that too.
To answer your question, Madman only do regular business work hours during the week, but they don't control the payments they just wait until they get the message from the bank that the funds have been paid and cleared and then start working on your order. _________________ If life was meant to be fair we wouldnt have eithiopians

Yeah I knew BPAY was a banking feature. I guess I just didn't know that payments had to be handled manually by bank staff, apologies for that.

So I've been told.. I'm just used to buying things in retail and how quick credit card payments are made and cleared. It's unfortunate I don't have one (I relied on my family to make payments on my behalf) and it was my first time using BPAY, so I kind of jumped into unknown territory.[/quote] |

There's the option of a debit card, works the same as a credit card but just uses your own money, i've got one for online buying if a CC is needed. _________________ If life was meant to be fair we wouldnt have eithiopians

I think you mean a Visa Debit Card - A Debit Card is just a regular Bank Card _________________ Donate to the Movember Madboards Team:

You're thinking of your Keycard for your bank or EFTPOS card. There's Visa or Mastercard debit cards. _________________ If life was meant to be fair we wouldnt have eithiopians
