Came on to buy it and couldn't find it to my belief.
Did some searching on the net and most places in australia only sell the 1-2 pack.
Just curious as to why madman doesn't have it. |

It's not in the Madman catalogue. Seasching for Patlabor should have turned it up, as it searches for any title with Patlabor in the title. _________________ In the worlds before Monkey, primal chaos reigned. Heaven sought order, but the phoenix can fly only when its feathers are grown.

ya i tried with the full title, even on the net i only found two places in australia that had it, although i had never heard of the sites so my trust level is low and i only ever buy from madman, ezydvd and amazon but im after the r4 version.
also SBS has it but when you click to buy it takes you to dymocks and says that the page no longer exists..... |

There is a thread which lists shops in Australia that sell anime and related merchandise and people have discussed how trustworthy etc that they are, it might be worthwhile having a look through these and trying some of them to see if they have it:
http://madboards.madman.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=16437
Also there is a Madboard member called Greoboruri who may know where to find it, he has a whole site set up that is devoted to Patlabor I believe. |

I don't keep up with R4 releases that much, so I was unaware that it had become out of print. Looks like Madman deleted it as early as March of this year. All of the usual spots I use for R4 discs don't have it in stock.
I think you might have to bite the bullet and buy the R1 version (also out of print, but both the special edition and single disc sets can be bought for cheap at the Right Stuf) or the R2 Bandai Visual version which comes with English subtitles, but no dub (and re-released at the low price of ¥1,995 just last month). There's also a Japanese Blu-ray with optional English subtitles. _________________ Schaft Enterprises
