Is this due to popularity or is it being switched over to fatpack already?

It's because of A.

The reason why you can't back order is due to the special sale and discount that's available this month for all website members. Essentially it prevents a "raincheck" scenario.

When it comes back into stock in a couple of weeks it will be reflected so on the website.

For JBHifi that would mean only their online store sold out, if the past is anything to go by. I've seen stuff sold out there, gone into 3 stores and they all had it Rolling Eyes

JB online and the JB physical stores are pretty much two totally seperate entities. Try calling your local one and see if they have it and if not see if they can get it in from another store. Shin Tokyo might still have it in stock as well (10% off RRP minimum).

Hmm I'm pretty sure that my nearest JB HiFi had one when I was there recently.
In any case I'm glad I got mine when I did; it's really quite an awesome set with the booklets etc.

As Sly said above it will be back in stock on the Madman site in a couple of weeks. The Xmas voucher sale expires on Xmas Day so it would probably come back in after that although I think the MM warehouse is closing down for a short break over the Xmas/New Year period so that would delay it being delivered for a while too.

The start of December. I think(?) it was done by the same method as last year, based on what you bought from Madman's online store and you could get a coupon for between 20% and 30% off with a choice of a gift. If you bought stuff this year from Madman and didn't get one then you should ask about it, they expire on the 25th of Dec.

not everyone got them, it was only for people who spent a certain amount directly through the madman website, and the amount you got was based on how much you spent too.
EDIT: Travaku beat me to it

If anyone did not receive a discount coupon and would like one, e-mail orders@madman.com.au and they will send you one. Keep in mind it has to be used before x-mas day. Cool

I can vouch for this statement Razz Laughing

Based on previous experience.

Indirectly quoting sly here (not exact quote):

"Business Schedules change and therefore we can not gurantee that a product will not come out sooner than stated at a convention"

Bought Ergo Proxy for $120 at a convention and it wasnt supposed to come out for at least another 6-8 months. And then 3 month after the convention it makes an appearance for $99 or so in Shops

Just goes to show you tha things change all the time.

*runs for cover before Sly comes back*

no you chose to by a convention exclusive. You got it 3 months prior to any release so that's the price you paid for getting it early.

I was just trying to provide an example. A bad one, probably.

Lets not start this arguement again. Changes in MADMAN's business schedules were responsible for being it release sooner than expected or stated otherwise. I have learnt from the past and hence I dont believe a word on these forums or madmans website until its actually on store shelves.

As for the slimpack of Code Geass arriving in Mid-2010 (June-Aug)........

http://madboards.madman.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=27822

I wouldnt be surprise if it was sooner than that like say Mid-March 2010. To be Frank I dont care as these days I just slimpack/Fatpack them myself.

Just to close the subject on this if I had known Ergo Proxy was 3 months away then I WOULD HAVE NOT BOUGHT IT.
