Razz Absolutely love the characters in it- the Domon/Milliardo/Puru story had me in stiches every time Puru butted in.

Oh, and thank crap for Japanese voices...
It's one game I want to get when I get a PS3 one day along with Disgaea 3.
I wonder if the game is region free though.....

All PS3 games are region free. It's region locked on the Xbox 360, though (all Bandai-Namco titles seem to be). Having to pay Australian retail for a game... painful experience.

PAL slowdown only happens if it's set to display PAL. PS3 and 360 render in HD, so you'll get full frame rates if you have it set to 60hz or HD.

Who else has seen how utterly gorgeous Super Robot Wars Scramble Commander 2 looks?

Scramble Commander the 2nd

I really hope it sets a precedent and is a sign of things to come.

I admit I have it I haven't played that far in to it, dropped it off and have been doing other Gundam or SRW type games at present.

That looks pretty rad, I just watched a couple of videos on youtube. So it's half way between SRW and a JRPG or something?

It's sort of a "real-time" SRW from what I can tell.

I'm moreso referring to the fact that we're getting gorgeous 3D full-scale models. Oh Yeah.

I do recall seeing a translated Feds vs Zeon video on youtube.

I'm just waiting for Gundam vs Gundam. Very Happy http://gundam-vs.jp/

Not a fan of Scramble Commander. Don't like the game system that much.

Recently finished G Generation Spirits. It's fun, but when you get so powerful you can one-hit-kill Victory era battleships with your Zaku 1, there's not much left to play. Rolling Eyes

Hey wait a min when he said Fed vs Zeon I thought he was refering to the actual Alliance vs ZAFT SEED series.
I have Fed vs Zeon on PS2 so I know it's out there, BAH.

Hummmm some of you including Mr Waffles I see, enjoys playing the Gundam Seed Games, I am abit behind the times I think. I had known they made Gundam Seed games but the first computer game I had managed to get that resembled Gundam Seed or Gundam Seed Destiny was a game called Shogo: Mobile Armored Division. I had it downloaded off the internet by a friend; the full version and I played it am an the commander that you see now. I am pretty good at it using walking ground assaults as well as piloting the Mobile Suits and probably would give Athrun Zala or Kira Yamato a run for their money. it is not easy piloting an 30ft Mobile Suit and trying to survive on a daily meal of "Kill or Be Killed by Giant Robots".

Speaking of Game creation, I am working on a gameboard that could be turned into an computer CD game, I call Gundam Seed: Our Worlds; one plays it like RISK or Axis and Allies, I have 2 differing types of battles. Those in space and those on Earth where one fights with all the capital warships and Gundam Mobile Suits you want......but I was astonished with some things I had invisioned and found out I was exactly right from the Gundam Seed series. The Earth Alliance forces totalled around 72 Capital Warships while ZAFT had about 48 or so. I could not believe my guesses were so accurate. The Junk Guild and the 3 Ship Alliance had between 17 and 30 Capital Warships. In my game I have Voltron Defenders Of The Universe comming finally to Earth as well as the Doom Forces....complete with the Lion Forces now part of the 3 Ship Alliance and The Doom Forces as a part of the "Plutonian Socialist Front" Glenn Children whom went on to colonize planets like Pluto, Uranus, Neptune.

They have successfully used the technologies that the Doom Forces had given them while the 3 Ship Alliance "Federation" has settled the planet Mars and has created bases there and on the 2 moons there. My boardgame is a prototype and I really wish Bandi Entertainment would be interested in such things. The era for my boardgame covers from about 2117AD to AD 2179 which would be CE 73.

I see Mr. Waffles, well a full version game CD or DVD up here in Canada would cost about $30 to $40; at one time the hot game was Mech Wars or something like that. they had those games based on the Mech Series in computer stores as near as I can recall at about 1997. Because I had gone into a store and seen Mech games you could by. Hummmmm I had an PS2 and bought a BSGRemake game played it and did not like it, later I had bought this computer and liked the CD games on it better than PS2, the best games were played on the old Nintendo 64 machines, I wish they could have kept up with the times. A few stores and used game machine stores still carry such games and one I remember was "The Silent Service" , you could be a submarine captain for the US Navy during WW2 and hunt Japanese Submarines or shipping. I had a game here for my computer called "Silent Hunter II" that is nowhere as good as The Silent Service. but Silent Hunter II puts you right in an WW2 German Submarine.

I prefer my Shogo: Mobile Division game because it has a really good storyline of a young commander trying to save a starsystem and finding out that his commanding Admiral has a hidden agenda of destruction of that starsystem and it is errily similiar to Gundam Seed with a giant "Death Star" like weapon that fries planets.

Gundam VS Gundam out at the Blue House arcade on Russel Street Melbourne for those interested. Very Happy

A few notes.

Gundams from all TV series and a few OVAs. List here -> www.gundam-vs.jp

Still a few unlockables yet to come. Gundam 00 units a high possibility. High possibility of more popular units from other series. eg. Double X, Kampfer, Hyaku Shiki, Destiny, Epyon. Low possibility of not-so-popular units or grunt units with no-name characters. eg. Assh, GM, Gaza-C. Very low possibility of units from side stories etc. eg. Blue Destiny, Crossbone, Stargazer, Zudah.

For those who played the previous game, step-cancelling has been removed, making the game a lot more about positioning and teamwork rather than technical joystick skills. Feels a lot more like a strategic game than a fighting game, so people who don't have lightning hands can rejoice.

You can drop colonies on people. Yay.

Freedom is incredibly scary because it can cancel practically any of its moves into a special dash(SEED cancel), making it hard to hit. But to compensate for this, has very little armour for its cost.

Low cost units have been balanced a lot better than previous games. They can be devastating if played correctly, but they die like flies when bashed around a bit.

Athrun self destruct. Twisted Evil

Gundam SEED Destiny Allaince vs ZAFT Portable Ops: A port of the first SEED vs game, with one new feature, mission mode, very fun, also got Strike Freedom as an unlockable Gundam in this game.

Gundam vs Gundam: A cool crossover series game, uses the same engine as the VS series always has done before but some units have new features, eg Strike Gundam can change frames IN battle giving you options for tactics and things of that sort.

Also on Gundam vs Gundam I agree Kensheen I can literally tear anyone apart with the Strike Gundam because of it's frame change ability.
Supprised Impulse didn't have it, I look forward to Gundam vs Gundam Next.

Gundam vs Gundam is a good game but I find it's control system is rather lacking compared to the Battle series.

I've been giving Dynasty Warriors Gundam demo on the XBox 360 a go and it's not too bad for a hack n slasher. Only able to play as Heero in the Wing with Jerid and Master Asia as team members, but it's giving me a good feel for the game. Might hire it before I buy though.....

Is Exia the only suit from Gundam00 included in the PSP version? I've looked through the sites and can only find him.

Been looking at a bit of GvG Next info myself. Impulse still can't weapon swap. Boo...

The MS lineup for Next is pretty sweet. However, seeing as only Exia was an unlockable in the first game, I don't think we'll get more than 1 or 2 hidden units in Next.

And yes, Exia is the only 00 suit in the PSP version. Virtue will be in GvG Next.

You know with Wing's expansion.
I was hoping to see X get the Double X for one new unit, maybe they'll add it, maybe not.

I think they're saving Double X and Strike Freedom. Knowing Capcom, they might be aiming to have 4 or 5 versions of the game eventually, so they want to keep us waiting with a few really obvious ones.

Also, Gundam X and Freedom being 3000 cost, adding Double X and Strike Freedom will probably require them to redo the costing system. Sazabi really should be moved up.

The costing system is kind of flawed in this one, as it seems too easy to deplete the meter to zero sometimes.

Ever tried Wing Zero and Heavyarms vs X and Ashtaron?

I have, Zero's cost is ridiculous compared to Ashtaron who is almost as dangerous.

While it is fun to play it can be frustrating especially later in the game when you easily beat the hell out of the other characters until about they have about 3rd of life left they go into block everything and dance around mode or beat the hell out of you mode, lost count of those battles where even at full health got tossed around like a rag doll and lost.

Just posting in here to say even though it's against the ToS.
Gundam vs Gundam NEXT clips of gameplay can be found on youtube and it looks awesome with the new additions, I hope it gets a PSP port and a few exclusive units for it also.

Just got myself Gundam Musou 2.(Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2) My friend and I have been playing Dynasty Warriors since the Shin Sangoku Musou 2 and we've stopped playing any difficulty above "Easy". The game is so much more fun when you're practically invincible. Laughing ... And even then you can still die on the harder stages. Confused

I'm hoping we'll see GvG Next on a home console, not just PSP. Unfortunately, being that the arcade version only comes out this month, expect to wait a year or so. They're still missing Strike Freedom and Double X from the roster though, so chances are there's going to be a 3rd installment of the game after Next.

I've just gotten my clammy hands on a PS3 for the sole purpose of playing DWG1 (& 2) and read a pretty disappointing review on gamespot. I'm glad I came and had a look at what some of the Gundam fans think of it, it's swaying me to fork out for it.

Just finished the [Shin no Gundam Musou] stage on Gundam Musou 2, which can only be played on Hard. Difficulty is ridiculous! Only beat it using Turn A with DG Cells, Meikyouchisui and Overdrive. Ran around for over an hour spamming at least 50 nukes before Musha Mk1 and Mk2 finally called it a day. Rolan's total missions played - 174. Apparently since everyone said the first game was too short, they decided to make the 2nd game super long. I'm quite happy with it though. The first game wasn't really worth the money, but this one feels like my spending was justified.

Gundam vs Gundam Next is looking great! The new unlockables are actually worth waiting for. Very Happy

Strike Freedom with Meteor unit as a boss on extra stage.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6823191

Not only is DX confirmed, but Zanneck appears as a boss. V Gundam finally getting some love.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6783287

Hoping for console release.

Personally I'm hoping for a console release also.
Putting it on PS3 might be a bit of a waste if they did that though.
So chances are it'll be PSP or PS2 port most likely.
I'ld prefer PS2 for a better screen and larger controls though.

Also Kensheen not everyone can view those videos unless you have a login for the site.

It's fun but I do miss the weird teams they had in the first one, it was fun watching Puru, Milliardo and Domon as a team, just a pity they didn't keep that style for the characters story modes.

I agree the old story mode was more fun to play. The new story missions all seem rather bland.

Oh well, the gameplay however is much improved. I love my Turn A and V2.

By the way, G Generation Wars is coming out this year. Over 700 playable units, which is almost double G Generation Spirits. However, 350 new units isn't actually a lot considering it's practically all the alternate universes. I was hoping for SEED Astray, Sengokuden and G-Unit, but I'm afraid we might miss out on some of the smaller titles. And the likelyhood of Super G-Arms is practically zero as usual... Crying or Very sad

http://www.ggene.jp/wars/

And it's PS2 and Wii.

When is there going to be a decent Gundam game on the 360?

Dynasty Warriors Gundam is just plain crap. Why can't there be a similar game to that one on PS3 for the 360?
