... This is not FMA.
"High Quality" appears to be the actual show, but... I'd rather watch the "Medium Quality" if at all possible? CAN YOU FIX THIS MADMAN? _________________ I challenged Ash Ketchum to a Pokémon Battle.
This clearly makes me the very best, like no one ever was. |

creepy that the manga just ended and the anime is just about there too :S sounds like from wikipedia that the reason for the very large chapters at the end was to finish it off because the anime was getting too close |

After 18 months of using my dedicated home theater room for storage (due to renovations) I've at last dusted off my video projector and cranked up my surround amp. I purposely delayed viewing my FMA-B BD episodes for this event and how sweet it is. The projector is not full high def (one day..one day) however with a screen diagonal of about 2.3m the Brotherhood BD comes up a treat. Beautifully sharp and detailed with sound to match.
I think the English cast is doing a fabulous job, as was done in the original series. What a treasure this series is. |

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SHOW ABOUT?
Who in their right mind would want to work on a series that 64 Episodes long? They must be crazy! _________________ "I just want one goddamn shower without the touchy touchy" |

With a career of over 18years in commercial TV there were many shows on which I worked more than 64 episodes....maybe that's what happened to me |

Ah if that only was the case, the "last episode". After FMA:B is done I'll be moving on to the next "project" (wonder what that could be? ).
Anyway the subs for the last episode is done, should be up tomorrow on schedule, was going to do it early but was nailed down Nana... oh yeah... dvds. _________________ "I just want one goddamn shower without the touchy touchy" |

Watched it.
Just like the first series, it ends with Ed on a train. The photos under the closing credits are interesting. Ed and Winry have a son and daughter, and in that photo, Mai looks weird. I dunno.
The series wrapped up well, and the photos from years later don't really leave any opportunity for the movie to continue the story. _________________ Nullus Anxietas |

Watched it, thought it was a great way to end this series off. I am glad they dedicated an entire episode to the aftermath so to speak and there were a few suprises in there. Will be awesome to rewatch it on BD as they come out and also to see what direction that the movie takes, especially after seeing this final episode.
The still shots at the end of the credits were a good idea.
Well done to the crew at MM who got this subbed and uploaded onto the Screening Room for us to watch each week for the last year and a bit, thanks for all the hard work! |

A very good ending to the series.
I'd also like to express my appreciation to Sakuya, Sly and all the Madman team.
The Blu-ray English language releases are absolute top on my home video purchase list and I'm looking forward to experiencing the adventure all over again. |

Dammit I thought I was rid of the title, I still gotta sub the DVD releases, with all your "aussie spellings", coloured ops and ends, etc. So in reality this is a 128 episode series for me.

I wish I could but, the subtitles I did for the screening room haven't been properly checked for gramma or spelling. I pretty much had a very short time frame to time, sub, and I was pretty much doing it myself.
We were provided with new subs from Funimation which should be all spelled and grammatically checked and suitable for dvd release, but I have to make adjustments to it, re-time it, do the Australian spell check and re-colour it. _________________ "I just want one goddamn shower without the touchy touchy" |

Picked up Season Two BD from JB today!
The label artwork on the disks is neat but very ordinary on the BDs I feel. I wonder if it's the same on the DVD versions. |

Just read on Mania.com that FMA-B is made at 540p, not 1080p, so it's not really full HD. Erm, yeah. Keep the BDs coming anyway. _________________ Nullus Anxietas |

I've just completed disk one of season two. The picture is superb as is the sound. Claymore is supposed to be an upscale and I believe it, but FMA-B is streets ahead. I believe this is the real deal (i.e. 1080p master).
With regard to voice casting, performances and direction, in one word, faultless! The English audio track is, thus far, a perfect match in every consideration. The new performer for Al is all over it as are the returning performers. I really love every aspect of this production. During my career in the TV industry I worked very closely with voice talent and I very much appreciate the quality of work this crew has achieved. |

I want this in ful high def! I don't expect Funimation for the USA or Madman for Australia would pull the pin on the BD release (he hopes). Besides, die hard UK collectors wanting BD will be driven to import. That's a problem for their local suppliers who would not want to see the practice grow in their market but it would strengthen the US sales of the BD version. |

Theres a post on the ann forums from 'slykura':
"FYI - The US version will be Region A only from volume 3. The AU Madman version will go region b only from Volume 3. So if you can get your hands on the AU one be our guest. It's region B so will be compatible in the UK."
Anyone able to verify this was our sly talking? If so, does this mean madman is going to start authoring their own FMA blurays, rather then using funi's? _________________ 10am 10/10/10. Never forget

I'd be very happy to see Madman authoring more of their BD releases. More power to Madman if they can export BDs to the UK. |

Makes me glad I stuck with Madman on this release for a change. It'd be annoying to have some volumes region A while others Region AB in the same collection. _________________ It's impossible to fit an entire delusional rant inside the subject line of a PM. |

It makes sense that Madman would want to have control over their product. Has anyone noticed that the Eden of the East BD has a promo for Casshern Sins distributed locally by a Madman Competitor? |

@Slykura
Well I'm glad it didn't stop/delay Madman from releasing the Eden of the East on BD. It’s a top anime series.
I suppose the decision to do region B; FMA-Brotherhood, from series 3 explains the more than five month wait since the Season 2 BD release. Hopefully we won't have to wait that long for season 4 and then (gasp) again for the final season.
Edit: Looking forward to putting my prized Blu-ray FMA-B in that nice box you've promised us..... |
