Somehow I failed to save a post I had spent ages writing Sad .

Anyway, I did a search for non-Miyazaki anime music by Joe Hisaishi and found the following:

Hajime ningen Gyatoruz (TV Series 1974ľ1976)
Ozu no mah˘tsukai (1982)
Tekuno porisu 21C (1982)
Kik˘ s˘seiki Mospeada (TV Series 1983ľ1984)
Birth (BÔsu) (1984)
Futari Taka (TV Series 1984ľ1985)
Hono no Arupen R˘zu (Alpen Rose) (TV Series 1985)
Arion (1986)
Ozu no mah˘tsukai (TV Series 1986ľ1987)
Robotto kÔnibaru (1987)
Vinasu senki (Venus Wars) (1989)

Also, there was a live action film called Tasmanian Story with music by Joe Hisaishi.

None of the above appear to be still available or have sountracks available, although I did find a CD recording entitled The night of Galaxy Express by Joe Hisaishi on cdjapan.co.jp

Has anyone seen these titles or heard the soundtracks themselves?

Hisaishi also does the music for a lot of Takeshi Kitano's movies. Sonatine, A Scene At The Sea and the wonderful Kikujiro soundtrack, to name a few.

I've got alot of his works. If you want a good range I'd suggest looking at his "piano stories" collections. I think he has about 4 of them out now, and they cover all of his works be it personal or film.

Ordered yesterday.

I miss when Shin Tokyo had soundtracks at decent prices... everything in my "saved items" at http://www.cdjapan.co.jp is quite expensive /-:

The Joe Hisaishi "Nocto de la Galaksia Fervojo" by Joe Hisaishi arrived earlier in the week.

It appears to be an "alternate soundtrack" to the Haruomi Hasono original soundtrack, although it also borrows from the New World Symphony.

Probably my next Joe Hisaishi non-anime music purchase would be Asian XTC.
