That's what I want to do, but I just have this funny feeling the book'll contain a translation for the drama cd or something...
It probably won't, but it'd just be my luck that it did.

Please tell me we'll eventually get a regular, normal priced series later on down the track?

With the state the market's in at the moment, I wouldn't bet on it. I'd bet against it, even. Kara no Kyoukai, which had a similar sort of initial release, hasn't had a more normal release.

Some companies seem to have decided that the best way to maximize what they make on a title to be high priced, limited releases. I've more or less resigned myself to the fact that these are the only way I'll be able to get legit copies of some titles I'm interested in and just cough up if I really do want it.

Did Garden of Sinners have the same profile though? Legitimate question by the way. Razz It just seems that Fate/Zero has quite a high profile as the Fate series seems to be quite popular at the moment. I don't recall Fate/Stay night being a smash-hit back in the day though.

I think Bandai was doing the same sort of release with the Gundam Unicorn series? I have the first two DVDs but the Bluray releases just seem quite expensive for the one episode.

If Fate/Zero does get an English dub (or at least a US distributer subtitle-only release), I wouldn't expect it until a while after the second block has aired/streamed. End of this year at the very earliest, I'd guess, to maximise the saleability of the Japanese boxes.

To be honest, I'd be surprised if there wasn't an eventual English dub of this, to go along with the original series.

Roughly the same or slightly higher, I'd say. Fate/Stay Night did come out at a time when just about everything got a dub and a "normal" release, remember. A lot has changed in that time.

Yeah, got the shipping email yesterday too. I did preorder mine back in october last year though so maybe that has something to do with it.

Hopefully the decision to save $43 rather than get the booklet was worth it...

Mine's at home now. Probably won't open it until I decide to watch it again. But I'll probably cave sooner than that...

Discotek are going to release both "Samurai Pizza Cats" (English dubbed version) and "Kyattou Ninden Teyandee" (original Japanese version). Didn't think I'd ever see that happen. It must have ben a package deal with Tatsunoko as they're also releasing the 1990's OVA of "Casshan".

Likewise, I too will be doing the double.

Pretty much highlight of forever in terms of anime (at least until Sailor moon gets a relicence but i think this even will still beat it)

Sentai have announced they have licenced the Mahoromatic I'm Home OVA. They are also getting Bang Zoom to do the dub so it should have the same English VA as the original Geneon series.

Still, to those that have ordered the Aniplex stuff, let us know how it goes!

I've got the Fate Zero, Garden of Sinners, and the first box of Madoka from Rightstuf. With Fate Zero they shipped via Fedex, so it got here quicker than their usual turn around. Most likely Aniplex be working with Rightstuf again. Can't see why they wouldn't.

They used to ship Aniplex titles outside of the US - I've got the first Madoka LE Set myself - but have since said they aren't allowed to do that anymore. Some guys have some Aniplex stuff on order so we'll have to see if they'll get them or not. Apparently they'll do pre-orders though if you've ordered prior to the change.

Was it on pre-order? They're still doing those if you ordered before the change.

I was told unequivocally by a Rightstuf rep that they won't ship those titles outside of the US. Great if we can though so keep us apprised!

It was a pre-order, but it apparently shipped last week and I never got a shipping notification.

EDIT: I just looked up my bank statement, and I like the name that's on the transaction.

Actually, this is to see if I can get the set, since Aniplex have got this "Do Not Sell Outside US" policy now. That's why I'm posting this **** here. It may be relevant to those who may want to buy Bakemonogatari when Aniplex release that. Put simply, I'm the guinea pig. Self appointed, but still the guinea pig. It kind of helps that I want this set. Smile Razz

This may explain a few things

http://www.animenews.biz/2012/04/14/editorial-on-kadokawa-pictures-and-restricted-international-blu-ray-releases/

If so that means the hope of seeing Deadman wonderland or Steins;gate on bluray isnt looking good at the moment Sad

Well...that's ridiculous and b.s.

They made a good point at the end about fans who want the higher quality blu-ray product getting it anyway. Goodbye revenue, hello piracy!

Sentai have licenced Queen's Blade Rebellion. This is interesting since the other 2 previous QB series were licenced by Media Blasters & who were fairly recently saying that they were going to licence this, but they have been having some major problems & delays & outright cancellations.

Bakemonogatari will be released in the US by Aniplex on Blu-ray. It will not be an import version, like Fate/Zero; it will be an in-house product, like Oreimo, so the price should be more agreeable.

EDIT - And Aniplex has officially announced the second Fate/Zero BD box. It will release 9 September, preorders start 1 June.

EDIT 2 - Some others, mentioned on the Mania boards; InuYasha - The Final Act (DVD and BD, no combo) and Tiger and Bunny (BD and DVD)
