Shippuden is a lot better, and i think it kinda explains whats happening at the beginning (only seen a few eps and read some of the manga) and a few flashbacks, but watching the original series would probably help...

Watching the first series definitly helps or you could just read the Manga it will be quicker and you can skip the filler easier.

Shippuden does have better fights and the characters are much better so there is a possibility that you may like shippuden even though you hated the first series.

Best fight is when Kakuzu and Hidan versed Asuma, Shikamaru, Kotetsu, and Izumo. Which is in Shippuuden, but despite the fights and characters, and even the seemingly better and less annoying storyline, it would be very hard to enjoy it without understanding the first series.

I wouldn''t count Kakuzu in the fight as he dowssn't really do anything so it iss mainly the other characters.

It's a pity it's taken so long to come out here...I've already lost interest in the series (just don't like where the manga's been heading lately). It IS good that it's coming out as a collection, though, and not individual volumes.

Dude! I KNOW where the manga's heading. That's why I've stopped reading it!

If things turn around I'll probably start reading it again...and buy these DVDs. But as it stand right now...Kishimoto and Naruto aren't getting any more of my hard earned cash.

It is a personal dislike, but it's taken a turn that makes what I've been waiting for and reading for Sasuke's redemption and a Team 7 reunion nigh on impossible...because killing (or at least really appearing to kill) a relative innocent and team-mate makes a person pretty damn evil!

Things could not be as they seem, of course. I mean clan-slaughtering Itachi was turned into a hero and saint when he died.

Itachi was told to by the Konoha Leaders

Picked up Volume 47...MAN THAT WAS GOOD volume.

Serious action of Naruto VS Pain showdown.

But I won't spoil it for you but it's good to see Part II see Naruto really learning how to fight and having tricks up he's sleeve.

Good thing about Naruto he's a trickster as everyone of he's opponents suspects he's about so something simple but he always get's them into he's trap.

Definitly Naruto also learns how to use the shadow clone jutsu properly

What? He's been using that since "Volume 1" I think you mean Senjutsu chakra which is Sage mode

But I know what you mean as there is a secret behind Shadow clone jutsu.

Seriously don't read these Spoiler Tags until you read "both" volumes 46 & 47.

Plus he uses the Rasengan Shuriken which can only be thrown in Sage mode but I will say no more about Sage mode and since it is a major spoiler when you learn how he masters it.

I already know what happens in volume 46 and 47 people have already told me and I own 46 and have pre-ordered 47.

No, I was talking about how Naruto learns that whatever his clones learn he does to and how he can use them to train faster, and what you mentioned how he uses them for sage mode.

He learned that he learns what his clones learns he learns in early part II. What is wrong with you, why do you keep saying incorrect things?

Yes even I knew what your talking about as Kakashi told him about the memory gaining from clones.
But shadow clones also help with "It's like looking left and right at the same time" issue.
Which is basically two different things at once.

But It wasn't that early in part II as it was a fair bit of stories beforehand into Shippuden after Kakashi becomes back into it as Yamato was leader of team 7.

That's what I meant to say. And yes, it is actually pretty late into shippuden around the start of the Hidan and Kakuzu arc.

Yes I wouldn't call Hidan and Kakuzu arc EARLY Shippuden.
It's the same time as the Hidan and Kakuzu arc since Kakashi and Yamato teach Naruto about elemential jutsu while Shikamaru's team is fighting Hidan and Kakuzu.

I would consider early up to the end of the first arc.

Does anyone know if they have said when the anime series will come to an end?

End?
The series will end when the manga ends, so I expect the anime series will carry right up to the end of the manga...well that's if they don't do something stupid like make some alternate ending series after the official series has ended.
Like they did with Dragonball series and create a Dragonball GT series which didn't totally agree with all Dragonball fans.

But the manga hasn't even ended yet...so it still has quite some time to before everything is wrapped up and ended.
Naruto isn't over yet.

But when it's over lets not get a series that's based off the ending of Naruto and start following the Dragonball GT path.
Having a series after the official ending would probably be bad since it's generally not "official" Naruto storyline.
So even Dragonball GT is not really official work either.

I have heard rumours or just "fan talk" that if there was gonna be a series based on Naruto as a Hokage...which is like asking if there is gonna be a series after the series has ended.
