Yes I saw that a while back, I can't wait to be able to watch the 2013 Animax Musix (doesn't it get televised like around February each year or something weird and months later like that?)

Unfortunately with Nagi Yanagi being a "special guest" she wasn't included on the televised videos.

Steel Panther - All You Can Eat

The inside image would get me in trouble, so I won't be putting it up.

I've gotten quite a few CDs recently. (In batches, one I bought last week from JB online, another batch I ordered ages ago from Japan but they only shipped on Monday/arrived today and one I just ordered Monday night, arriving later this month)

Bought from JB in 20% off sale:
Arctic Monkeys - AM
Ariana Grande - Yours Truly
(say what you want but I'm surprisingly quite fond of the album)
Miley Cyrus - Bangerz (Deluxe)
which I picked up cheap for the sake of an ongoing inside joke

Got from YJA like 2 months ago (In a Fate/series binge, this was all one bundle, I was only after like one or two of the F/Z singles but I like all of them so I got the bundle instead once I saw it) :
Disillusion - Sachi Tainaka
Kirameku Namida wa Hoshi ni - Sachi Tainaka
Anata ga Ita Mori - Jyukai
Oath Sign - LiSA [Anime Edition]
MEMORIA - Aoi Eir [Anime Edition]
To The Beginning - Kalafina [Anime Edition]
Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau - Luna Haruna [Anime Edition]
Prayer - Aoi Eir
(I believe this is a Fate/series tribute or image album, I honestly know very little on it, only CD in the bundle I was unfamiliar with)

And the other night I purchased from Amazon.jp (got these for the vocal songs rather than the score):

Macross Frontier OST 1 - Yoko Kanno
Macross Frontier OST 2 - Yoko Kanno

All up this cost me just around under $100 excl the shipping and extra fees for the Fate bundle (only a little over with those in consideration) so I am very pleased, my iTunes library isn't though Laughing. I guess now is more awful a time than ever for my iPod to die on me though >__>

I can also recommend:

LR Harmony: From New World single (also contains This Illusion 10th moon harmony version);

Various - Super☆Affection (Carnival Phantasm OP)

タイナカサチ-disillusion-2010-

It's a pity that the FATE/Zero OSTs were only available as part of Limited Edition blu-ray bundles.

Queen of the Clouds by Tove Lo

I was pretty 'meh' on Tove Lo from what I'd heard but she opened for Katy Perry on Friday night and I must say I was blown away. She sounds immeasurably better live than on album but the album will have to do for now Razz

You are literally the worst kind of person.

Slowly working through a pile of CD's varying from 90s emo-pop-punk to melodic hardcore to antisocial hardcore/beatdown, keeping it mixed but consistent I guess haha

I bought the "Lock in" song to go with Scalzi's latest book*, both of which were pretty good.

I also bought 1914 - The Carol of Christmas partly because I liked it, and partly because it's the armed forces charities

*He's taken to the slightly odd idea of commissioning a song for he books, so far it's worked and I've liked both, but it's an unusual idea for promoting a book Smile

Finally got me a new copy of the Atelier Totori soundtrack.
The Atelier soundtracks are pretty much the few video game scores I legitimately really enjoy

This CD is an absolute pain in the rear to get, it's not on any of the usual hunting grounds, and is out of print according to all the sites I checked (except funnily enough the official site, they only ship to Japan but a forwarding service was in the cards) and the few sites that still had copies inflated the price by quite a margin.
Eventually I found it on Amazon UK new for under retail price sometime last year, they suddenly jacked it up about threefold to over $100 AUD after I tried to order it and insisted it was always that price when I inquired so I waited it out and picked it up at the beginning of this month when I saw it eventually reduced down below what I first saw it for.

Patience is a virtue!

Also purchased today was the 'Platinum' edition of Beyonce's third album- 'I am... Sasha Fierce'. I had to scour the used market to get it because the edition currently in circulation has a few less songs and the edition I got pretty much compiles all the many editions, so I get all the songs that I want from the various editions.

Lol. That is funny. You don't pay for music, which is most likely illegal downloading or borrowing music from friends. So report away that people actually do the right thing and pay for their music.

Had to get this again after seeing the music video of Spaceman on Rage. I lost my old copy years ago when I moved house.

I haven't bought an actual CD in years - nothing has really caught my eye enough to go for a CD rather than going for digital. Besides, mum still buys CDs so I just raid her stash.

As to what I have bought recently, my last three iTunes pruchases have been two Lindsey Stirling songs (Eclipse and Sun Skip) and John Paul Young's Yesterday's Heroes. The music store next door to work was playing that yesterday.

I was Youtubing some Mike Patton stuff up about a year ago and kept coming across links to some band called eX-Girl. Apparently he liked the band and talked them up. Found out they were three piece psychedelic noise-rock/punk group that adds in a cappella harmonies and operatic bits into their music. They went a bit prog rock/pop and psychedelic towards the end. They're quite strange and I'd never heard anything like them. I'm not really into Japanese bands at all, but these girls more than piqued my interest. Unfortunately they only lasted form 1997 to 2007, but they left us with an amazing back catalogue of music which I have been collecting over the last six months.

Heppoco Pou (album, 1998)

Kero! Kero! Kero! (album, 1999)
Probably my favourite album of eX-Girl. While the first album was a bit unfocused and amateurish, on this one they've really honed their skills. Amazing difference seeing as the two albums were recorded less than 10 months apart.

Nagisa No Sindbad (as Punk Lady, three track single, 1999)
This one is kind of rare. For some reason they did a three track EP of Pink Lady covers under the name Punk Lady.

Big When Far, Small When Close (album, 2000)
Except for one song, the album is all a cappella

Back to the Mono Kero (album, 2001)
This one got US, European and Australian releases as well, but I got the Japanese release because of a track you can't get on the other versions. Was really hard and a little expensive to obtain. Mine was a second hand copy and didn't have the obi, but the booklet was signed by the band which a great surprise as the seller didn't note that in the listing.

Luna Rose (two track single, 2002)

Endangered Species (album, 2004)
A US only release on Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label. Last thing we heard from them, but a pretty bloody amazing album, more towards the psychedelic side of things.

There are a few orphaned songs on compilations and a CD single I still have get to complete my eX-Girl collection. There's a couple of videos (music video compilation and live concert video) and a movie they stared in, but these are so rare that I probably don't have a chance in hell in getting them.

Finally got around to picking up Whoa, Nelly. I really love Nelly Furtado and one of my favourite songs of hers ("I Will Make U Cry") is on this album but I never really found it in store.

Lush - "Chorus"

Pretty good box set from 4AD which includes all three studio albums, the Gala compilation album of all their early EPs and "Topolino", originally a eight track Japanese tour mini album of B-sides from the singles taken from their "Lovelife" LP with another four added for a super obscure Canadian version of the compilation.

The box set also contains BBC sessions, a few demos, B-sides, a couple of remixes (one by Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine) and few odds and ends from compilations they appeared on (most notably a Wire tribute LP and an Elvis Costello split single). Some stuff is missing (a couple of alternate mixes), but it covers their very short history quite well.

I vividly remember the band from Rage. The lead singer, Miki Berenyi, has this amazing dyed red head of hair which was hard to forget. Though they were classed as shoegaze, they were much poppy than that (and far more listenable than My Bloody Valentine or Ride). The two women in the band, Miki and Emma Anderson wrote all of the songs which was a bit unusual for the time. Though they had two top 10 albums in the UK and three singles which almost broke the top 20 as well, they weren't really given their due by critics. That changed in the last five years or so with a lot of people revaluating their music.

They've reformed and are touring in 2016 with new EP. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the Pixies album...

Let's see so far this year there's been David Bowie's new album (which I would have bought even if he hadn't died because I own a CD of just about everything he's ever done!) and Chicago's new album and Roxette's new album. Oh and a Delta Goodrem CD single and a Cold Chisel album from a couple of years ago.

Second hand I've bought several volumes of "The Royal Edition", a 100 album (120 disc) set of classical music conducted by Leonard Bernstein, put out by Sony Classical from 1992 to 1995. Slowly but steadily, I intend to find the whole set.

Sabaton - The Last Stand

A few incredible bargains last trip:

Record of Lodoss War OST 3 - 100 yen

Noir OST 1 limited edition 280 yen
Noir OST 2 limited edition 280 yen

As well as a few shopping expeditions for CD's that ended up with me saying to myself "well there's another 10,000 yen gone".
