I know it's a fair way off, but the B2B site seems to indicate this will not be in a box with a booklet like the first season.

Attack on Titan Complete Season 2 Limited Collector's Edition (Blu-Ray)
Sailor Moon R (Season 2) Complete Series (Blu-Ray)
Sailor Moon R: The Movie (Blu-Ray)

I take it Madman is keeping the last two seasons of Sailor Moon back until they can release the DVDs alongside the BDs.

Surprised (sort of) that Fairy Tail Zero is being released as its own title rather than as part of the normal collections. It was presented as a flashback arc during the main series and It's just called Fairy Tail in the credits; Zero only appears on the episode cards and eye catchers, in an unobtrusive manner at that.

Yeah seems it'll be awhile before the rest of the Sailor Moon stuff will come. Also a big shame they are ditching the masters they were using for the DVD's. They could upscale those masters and they'd still look better than Toei's new ones prob.

I think people would wait even longer if they could do the DVD's with the older masters still.

You do know that there were major problems with the US's initial Blu-Ray release because the upscaling from the DVD quality masters was terrible right? To the point where Madman decided to wait until they could get HD re-masters from Japan.

They're referring to the Italian masters that Madman was using, which were vastly better than the masters that Viz were using. They're saying that the Japanese Toei master (also an upscale) isn't THAT much better than the Viz release (I think it's much better, although still middle ground- the Viz release was utter garbage and the Toei release is probably about a little better than what you should expect from a standard Toei upscale, they have a pretty bad reputation re: upscales).
I absolutely agree that an upscale of the Italian masters would probably be better, but would not be anywhere near worth the costs- nor can I imagine Toei signing off on it.
It'd be lovely to live in a world where a complete rescan of the materials would be possible like with a lot of older pre-digital shows- but this IS Toei we're talking about.

A couple of books; not quite the amazing stuff that came with the first season sets.

That's what's in the US set; Madman will follow suit. US set

Part 1 had a lenticular card, four military unit pins, a necklace with a replica of Eren's key and a sword necklace.

Part 2 had a tapestry for each of the three walls' emblems, a 3D lenticular card and a pikutami strap firgure of Eren.

Each disc case had a booklet with artwork, 4-komas, character profiles and interviews. I think these were included in the standard releases as well.

AOT LE is the same features as the US edition which is an 80+ page book.
The set is priced lower than the first season LE's as well to reflect this.

For Blue Exorcists, our hands are tied by the licensor and we have to release it this way.

Wouldn't that require the original cels? If that's the case then they tend to get sold off after some time anyway, unless the master tapes are in good enough condition

No, just the original film that the cels were captured onto. For example Evangelion was done on 16mm film (the opening was on 35mm) and got a completely new telecine for the Japanese Blu-ray release and besides the one episode they lost the materials for, it looks great (of course 35mm would have looked better but that's neither here nor there).
Toei is known to pretty much only facilitate upscales (and not often very good ones at that), although Viz in the US organised a rescan of the film for the Sailor Moon R movie and you will definitely see the difference.
