Managed to get a copy of AniplexUSA's Baccano Blu-Ray set. Unfortunately it's the re-release which is just in one case instead of two cases in the thin box but that's only because I had been meaning to buy it since it was announced and I just never got to it so the re-release was the only one I could get my hands on (and the JP release, but for a much higher price).
That's one less favourite title to upgrade to BD on~

So like this arrived some time ago completely destroyed which is not fun at all so I'll have to get it again because I want a presentable cover ew.

Ordered both seasons of Gunslinger Girl on Blu-Ray today from the U.S. because I've been meaning to watch it for a while now and I figure I might as well just go straight for blu-ray despite it not being a massive upgrade (but for $23 per season it's better than the DVD Razz )

Odd. Maybe it recently changed. Because Hanabee have the Australian rights, maybe? Didn't something like this happen with the third Madoka movie?

I'm about to ragequit the order. I went through the rigmarole of getting a US phone number for the US address on my Right Stuf account. Now it needs a US billing address.

Gyah!

Ditto. Cool

(Standard edition. Was thinking of upgrading to premium, but time slipped away and I didn't get around to it. No big loss, though.)

Looking at ordering some R1'a for the first time in nearly a year. Goes to show how long I've spent away from importing though I did buy the local releases of Sword Art Online, Guilty Gear and Gundam Unicorn.

There's a couple I'm hopefull of getting over the next month or so.

I just ordered The Irresponsible Captain Tylor - TV & OVA Complete Sets. I was going to order the Infinite Ryvius R1 Box set as well but I really want the madman release instead if I ever find someone selling it.

The R1 of Infinite Ryvius has an awesome menu music. I copied it one time as I could listen to it on repeat for a long time. I know that MM didn't have that music on its menu screen.

Arrived today from TRSI (sent 01-04)

Yuki Yuna is a Hero Vol.1 LE
Denki-Gai Vol.1 LE

They both are in rather oversize DVD cases in a clear slip case (nearly A4 sized). They also both came with reproduction production sketches.

In promo images, the slipcase had PONYCAN or similar branding written on it in big letters (perhaps as a frosted effect?). Are they actually like that or are they actually blank?

Arrived today.

Tales of Vesparia came as a blu/ray instead of a dvd release.

Pledged towards the Blu Ray of Otaku no Video, their next kickstarter is going to be Rising Bean.

Arrived, though Magical Warfare turned up as a blu/ray instead of a dvd. Now need to find a blu/ray player capable of playing it or selling it off or sending it back for the dvd release.

Little warning for anyone planning to buy the Media Blasters release of Yosuga no Sora from the US, apparently they are shipping copies out which are simply burned DVD-R's. They're not even pressing the discs.

An order consisting of Atelier Escha & Logy, Knights of Sidonia CE and The World God Only Knows OVA arrived.

Atelier is the first 12 episodes on a single disc release I've got. It's not labelled as such, but it must be region B as well as A, because it plays fine on my PS4. There's no Australian distributer logo, like what happens on some of their other releases (eg. Sentai's Girls und Panzer has the Hanabee logo instead of the Sentai one if you play it in an Aussie player).

The AE&L and TWGOK cases are weird, with latch flaps. The only other one like that that I've come across was the King Kong HD DVD that came with the XBox 360 HD DVD drive.

Just received Nekomonogatari Black from Right Stuf. I don't know if it was due to the new web site or the prepaid Visa card that I used, but Right Stuf sent it to me directly; I didn't have to send it to a US remailer address.

So generally speaking...what series have a better R1 release? When I say better, I mean box art (subjective), extras, picture quality etc.
