Since my last TRSI order arrived yesterday I've mainly been listening to the Princess Nine OST on my computer.

The car has been playing Macross 7 tracks and Meatloaf.

Hi,I have been a fan of the song, "Just Once" by Quincy Jones. I remembered that in 1981 this single was released from Quincy Jones and its vocal was done by James Ingram. I never get tired of listening to it despite of the many songs that have come out nowadays.

Yoko Kanno - Seatbelts - Space Bio Charge

For a while I mainly listened to disc 1, now listening through disc 2 for the first time in ages and enjoying it more.

One of these days it would be great to hear Yoko Kanno live - so far I've only heard May'n and Akino + Bless 4 sing her songs for Macross Frontier and Genesis of Aquarion / Aquarion Evol respectively.

Had another listen through the Lisa Komine CD's that I bought at her show.

She also does a good cover of ひこうき雲 (used in The Wind Rises) at:

I've been spending some time out in the garage, so listening to a fairly random mix of stuff on my MP3 player* (whilst singing along and looking faintly embarrassed when my neighbour pops his head round the door).

Things like Meatloaf, some classic "brit pop" from the 90's such as Space, Catatonia and The Divine Comedy, interspersed with the Wolf's Rain OST, and various Bubblegum crisis and Tenchi tracks.

Fortunately I was wearing a face mask and not singling too loudly, so I don't think my neighbour caught on to my butchery of "Gravity" and the start of "I am a Pioneer".

*I use a pair of earbuds that cut out most of the external noise, so I don't have to have the volume up much at all to hear the music over the extractor fan and "quiet" compressor.

Having a listen to ABC Classic FM's "Screen Sounds" program.

Good for a variety of soundtrack music.

There is a "listen again" function, but the process uses so many third party sites, javascript and cookies that I recommend you set up a separate Firefox profile to listen that way.

Been replaying the .hack//SIGN OST's lately, especially OST 1 & 2.

It's been helping me get my mind focused on work lately.

I'd love for there to be another .hack concert.

FictionJunction YUUKA's concert blu-ray from 2014 includes Yuuka Nanri singing Yashashii Yoake (.hack//SIGN ED) in a great performance.

Currently listening to a Lantis 15th anniversary concert.

Yuki Kajuira was in Sydney several years ago for A Night of Fantasia which was cool. Shame she didn't actually perform, but I was happy with her autographing the ltd ed .hack//SIGN OST boxset.

Been listening to .hack//Luminality. Wink

Right now on Animelo Summer Live 2009 day 2, singing the theme song Re:Bridge Return to One's Self:

Nana Mizuki, Yukari Tamura, Hironobu Kageyama, Masami Okui, Yuuki Kajiura, Yuriko Kaida, Kaori Oda, Yuuka Nanri, Wakana and Keiko amongst many others.

A pity that I missed attending in 2014, but I already have tickets for Animelo Summer Live 2015.

Florence + The Machine's new album just dropped at midnight, I've been listening to that.
Absolutely fantastic, if the pre-release singles left anyone a little wary, the rest of the tracks are amazing. Definitely a new standard for Florence with an album previously confirmed much more personal than her previous two.

Been replaying the soundtrack to The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and that's a very nice softer bit of music than my normal heavy metal.

With JB-Hifi selling it for $7-8, it's definitely worth the buy and I'll have to get a couple of copies for my parents and sister.

A definite gem when it comes to Hollywood soundtracks.

I've been listening to ABC Classic FM's Screen Sounds programme (Saturdays 5pm to 7pm, with the option to listen again if your browser works with the way they make it available):

http://www.abc.net.au/classic/program/screensounds/

and today I re-listened to Erich Korngold's music for The Sea Hawk and for Deception.

Generally I have iTunes or my iPod on random, but currently we have;

Run to the Water, Live

I'm utterly shocked by how long it's taken me for what appears to be a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference to register.

Ayahi Takagaki - Relation album. "Soprano" is the best track and the album is good antidote to the blander side of Sphere.

Edit, actually there are a few songs on the album that hit the spot in a good way that others don't.

Delta Goodrem - Wings

Disturbed - Never Wrong

Never thought that I'd really enjoy a Delta song, but I must happily admit, that I do like Wings. There's a lot of power in it, that hasn't been in her previous music.

Disturbed - Who Taught You How to Hate

Angry Anderson - Suddenly

A guy was talking about what he wants in a girlfriend and I thought that it was a narrow view and this song popped in my head. A classsic but relevant.

Been replaying some songs from the new Three Days Grace album - Human.

Fallen Angel
Human Race
Painkiller

It's funny as they're the first 3 songs on the album, though I've been listening to them in the above order.

1927 - If I could
