OooooH! I keep on hearing about GTO and I have seen previews of it but I haven't watched it yet. But every one tells me it is good. So what is it like? Smile

Has any one here seen Howl's Moveing Castle. I saw it at the flee market and wanted to get it but didn't have the cash on me. Then I went to a friends house and they have it on their computer but there is no sound on it. So I can't watch it yet and it is killing me!!!!!

-Death Note
-InuYasha

-Fruits Basket
-Love Hina
-Revolutionary Girl Utena

Facinating stuff, ne?

Noir has always been my favorite anime series ever. It is great up until disc three when Chloe comes into it. After that it becomes outstanding and amazing. The plot may be a bit slow at times but in a way that is what makes the series so good. I never finished one episode with out this sudden urge to watch the next one. On a scale of 1-10 the sound track it 10/10 for sure. There is only one incident in the whole series when I could see them not been dead serous. And that was when Chloe went over to Mireille and had some tea. Chloe said it was like the tea party from Alice in wonderland and they laughed. Apart from that obviously minor joke, the series is very dull and serious. I donít think there is any other series like it. Not even Madlax or Gunslinger Girl can compare to it. Although the series cost me a fortune it was certainly worth it.

Got a bit bored and decided to do a top 50 titles of my anime. A couple are combined like Zoids having 3 different series. My listing however is for the CC/NC combo.

1. Kaleido Star - 1st/2nd seasons
1. Project ARMS - 1st/2nd seasons
3. Haibane Renmei
4. Yu Yu Hakusho
5. Fate/Stay Night
6. Karas
7. Gundam SEED
8. Vandread
9. Trinity Blood
10. Dai Guard
11. Yukikaze
12. Dual - Parallel Trouble
13. Planetes
14. Initial D
15. Howl's Moving Castle
16. Gundam Wing
17. D.N. Angel
18. Zaion ~I Wish You Were Here~
19. Last Exile
20. Legend of Black Heaven
21. Dragon Drive
22. Angelic Layer
23. The Irresponsible Captain Tylor
24. Robotech
25. S-cry-ed
26. Zoids - CC/NC
27. Rurouni Kenshin - tv/ova's except Reflections
28. Full Metal Panic
29. Midori Days
30. Kiki's Delivery Service
31. Mars Daybreak
32. Witch Hunter Robin
33. Please Teacher
34. Rahxephon
35. Ai Yori Aoshi - inc. ~enishi
36. Happy Lesson
37. Zone of the Enders
38. Please Twins
39. The Ping Pong Club
40. Outlaw Star
41. Golden Boy
42. Scrapped Princess
43. You're Under Arrest - this is due to not watching the entire series at present
44. .hack//SIGN
45. Saber Marionette J
46. Someday's Dreamers
47. Overman King Gainer
48. Comic Party
49. DNA[2]
50. Genshiken

A lot of them could be classed as ='s, but it would've been too much of a pain in the rear to do that. Also a good few people may take issue with the placings of the series listed, but I'm satisfied with the placings. It doesn't mean that the ones closer to the 50th are crappy. Far from it. Out of nearly 180 separate titles/series/movies that I have, these are the ones that are the most watched or liked.

There are titles that narrowly missed out like Boys Be... , Brain Powered, Aquarian Age and MSN.

My Favorite would probly be Hikaru no Go. Love the manga and the anime adds alot to it, the music durring some of the games just sends chills up my spine. Other favorites are Record of Lodoss War, Shaman King, Hunter x Hunter and I use to really be into DB/Z before I realized there was better stuff out there.

Got a bit bored and decided to do a top 50 titles of my anime. A couple are combined like Zoids having 3 different series. My listing however is for the CC/NC combo.

1. Kaleido Star - 1st/2nd seasons
1. Project ARMS - 1st/2nd seasons
3. Haibane Renmei
4. Yu Yu Hakusho
5. Fate/Stay Night
6. Karas
7. Gundam SEED
8. Vandread
9. Trinity Blood
10. Dai Guard
11. Yukikaze
12. Dual - Parallel Trouble
13. Planetes
14. Initial D
15. Howl's Moving Castle
16. Gundam Wing
17. D.N. Angel
18. Zaion ~I Wish You Were Here~
19. Last Exile
20. Legend of Black Heaven
21. Dragon Drive
22. Angelic Layer
23. The Irresponsible Captain Tylor
24. Robotech
25. S-cry-ed
26. Zoids - CC/NC
27. Rurouni Kenshin - tv/ova's except Reflections
28. Full Metal Panic
29. Midori Days
30. Kiki's Delivery Service
31. Mars Daybreak
32. Witch Hunter Robin
33. Please Teacher
34. Rahxephon
35. Ai Yori Aoshi - inc. ~enishi
36. Happy Lesson
37. Zone of the Enders
38. Please Twins
39. The Ping Pong Club
40. Outlaw Star
41. Golden Boy
42. Scrapped Princess
43. You're Under Arrest - this is due to not watching the entire series at present
44. .hack//SIGN
45. Saber Marionette J
46. Someday's Dreamers
47. Overman King Gainer
48. Comic Party
49. DNA[2]
50. Genshiken

A lot of them could be classed as ='s, but it would've been too much of a pain in the rear to do that. Also a good few people may take issue with the placings of the series listed, but I'm satisfied with the placings. It doesn't mean that the ones closer to the 50th are crappy. Far from it. Out of nearly 180 separate titles/series/movies that I have, these are the ones that are the most watched or liked.

Time for an update and by comparing the quote you get to see what went in, out, up and down the list.

There was 12 titles from the above list removed. They were:
Genshiken
DNA[2]
Someday's Dreamers
Overman King Gainer
Please Twins
Zaion ~ I Wish You Were Here
S-cry-ed
Saber Marionette J
DN Angel
.hack//SIGN
Scrapped Princess
Witch Hunter Robin

45. Fate/Stay Night
46. Golden Boy
47. Outlaw Star
48. Zone of the Enders
49. Comic Party
50. Requiem From the Darkness

The biggest changes in terms of movements were Fate/Stay Night and You're Under Arrest. I've separated Gundam SEED from Destiny because I hate Shinn in Destiny and wish he'd die already. Fate/Stay Night didn't end that well and because of that, it dropped a massive amount. YUA went up a great deal because I got around to watching the rest of the series that's had a US release.

New Titles in the top 50.
Gundam SEED Destiny
Fafner
Black Lagoon
The Story of Saiunkoku
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie - all seasons
Pumpkin Scissors
Godannar
Guyver
Le Chevalier D'Eon
Requiem From The Darkness
Dokkoida!?
Solty Rei

That should do till Feb/March next year at the earliest.

Don't think I've posted to this thread, so figured might as well throw together a Top 6 list of the current anime series I own (ie not including movies or non-owned as otherwise would just get longer and longer and longer)

1. Trigun
2. Cowboy Bebop
3. Samurai Champloo
4. Fullmetal Alchemist
5. DragonBall/Z
6. Full Metal Panic/Fumoffu

[And why 6? Uhhh ... why 5? 10? Seriously though these are just the ones which stand out for me the most in my collection, and all bar one I would happily use to introduce someone to anime. Probably not DBall though, as would only reinforce notion that is "for kids", despite still being an entertaining and enjoyable watch - though I like the original better than Z]

so if not DB/Z/GT which of those wouldn't you use? depending on the person I'd probably use all of those
