or "Legends of Jeet Kune Do: Once Upon a Time in Highschool"

I'm not sure how old it is, but it's a korean movie, and it's great, how many, if any, of you have seen it?

It's from 2004, so very new. I plan to see it in the next few days. I'll let you know what I think.

I myself thought it was great.
Maybe Madman/Eastern Eye (?) should license it.

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. As a "western" viewer, I can't really comment on how bad life was in Korean high schools during the 1970s. I can only hope it wasn't that violent, but you have to wonder with all the Korean movies out there such as Friend, Volcano High, My Tutor Friend and even sporadically in The Classic, that portray violence and mistreatment by teachers in Korean schools.

The story being told through Hyun-soo (Kwon Sang-woo from Volcano High) was really clever: a newly transferred student that I'm sure many people could identify with. The romance angle worked really well too, but I feel this lead to a more obtuse (and conventional) approach towards the treatment of violence, so I didn't feel as empathetic with the main characters' harsh experiences as I probably should have. But the fight scenes were very well done.

If you have RealPlayer, there's an unsubtitled trailer here.
