I quite enjoyed One Peice, but now that the toonami late run relaly is gone, I no longer get the chance to watch it. If madman ever releasd the manga though, I'd consider getting it. _________________ You must show no mercy-

Anyways, could you tell me what they all edited in the Viz manga? The only thing I hear people complaining about is the Zoro -> Zolo change. Anything else? Did they leave the SFX intact? change the attacknames? |

well Viz started translation and production before 4kids got the licence to it. it is widley believed that 4kids payed out Viz to reprint all old volumes and print new volumes with Zolo. _________________ blog |

I've never seen the DUB, thankgod. I was going to give it a try but then I heard they replaced the guns with supersoakers, sigarettes with lollypops and stuff like that. 'nuff said. |

The dream is over friends. There is no onepiece uncut being released. My only anime hope ever has been dashed and spat in the face of by penisfaced profiteers.
As posted in www.animenewsnetwork.com
No Unedited One Piece (2005-10-27 19:05:05)
While Viz will be releasing Naruto in English only first, with the unedited Japanese dubbed version to follow, they have informed us that this will not be the case with One Piece. Not involved with the show's production, Viz will not be releasing an unedited or Japanese version at a later date. [ discuss (107 posts) ]
This is possibly the worst news ive heard in a long time. details of the dub is listed here

I am f***ing disgusted. Everytime I watch One Piece (Japanese Audio Uncut) I just think how cool it would be to own the DVDs and watch it on a TV. Man - I am really pissed. |

Well it was assumed that Madman would be licensing the Viz release of it. So unless madman exclusivley does it themselves (they've never done it before) it ain't gonna happen. _________________ blog |

I am up to ep 108
I love this show. After reading the above post's I am so glad that I am watching it in it's original state.
Lollipop's instead of sanji's smokes wtf?
Anyway I have to laugh at all the poor people that are watching the dub.
Mean while I am off to watch a really great uncut original Japanese One Peice.

Sooo...anyone want to see 16 billion ways to rape an anime? (4kids! style of course).
***Spoiler warning to newbies to the series (within the link)***
Disclaimer:
Horrifying images/info within, enter at own risk (but seriously, do it, some of the editing is so ridiculous)
http://opguide.bravehost.com/ <<---Site of Doom!
In the scene where Zoro (Zolo ><) is on the cross-type thing, they try to edit a part out, but they just dump a patch of sky onto the panel, which happens to leave a rather large-square shaped hole in Luffys hat
Also a tidbit of info: episode 53 of the 4kids! edit is actually episode 85 of the japanese dub, THATS how much they've edited out of this brilliant series...
Although one thing I am quite weirded out by is the fact that after pulling an all-nighter to finish Grand Battle! (1), the US intro has grown on me, and yes, its another horrible rap... |

Actually it is number 3 but they put it as number one so as to stop confusion. I bought it last night and played nonstop. The game itself is prety addictive. The voices, now that ive heard them, are horrid. The only reason i try to continue playing is so i can unlock mihawk and shanks. _________________ blog |

It's funny because it was only last month that I got the American Version for GameCube (although it's certainly a lot cheaper than what EB want for the PS2 Version). It's certainly nice to see though, I also notice Shaman King so maybe just maybe we will see more in the future. _________________ It's A Gundam! |

Hmmm....that One Pieice edits guide is pretty cool. I'm reading it now, but I'm gonna have to bookmark it for later.
Still P.Oed about there being no more Toonami late run (Although One Peice seems to have been relegated to very early mornings these days, I'd like to be able to watch Zatch Bell more than 1 or 2 days every now and again...but that's for another thread...) _________________ You must show no mercy-

Yeah I know what you are talking about. Man it was bad. Still the Skypiea arc isn't all that great anyway. imo
The quality shoot's right back up again afterwards. _________________ "As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?" - Holly
