Meh, I can wait.

I think Uncut One Piece won't take as long as Uncut DBZ because 4kids may have to finish One Piece early since they are rushing through the arcs at frightening speeds. Maybe it will end prematurely and then we can get Uncut OP.

But one thing has me worried, has 4kids ever let one of their licensed anime become released on DVD Uncut?

They said they will for Shaman King (from Sean Schemmel's mouth at SN bris 05).

Anyway as we can see onepiece is going to be a high profile release for madman and according to some informed people it is going to be a large part of Bris SN 06 and as such we will no doubt be seeing a huge fanbse be arriving. The question I put forward is this, "Do we want them?". Is it worth getting new onepieve fans derived from the crap version?

No. Since most of the people who will like the edited version are more likely to be kids, I say no. Who wants a bunch of whiny brats interfering with our day of fun?

There is a lot of thing where missing in the anime edited version where missing.

Like the scene where Luffy stabs himself under he's left eye to make himself look like a pirate...how funny is this scene in the manga.

The Arlong and Luffy fight cut short when Arlong attacks from the water and trashing the arlong buiding and Luffy breaking arlongs nose are also cut out.

Chopper is now introduced so were starting to see almost a full crew of pirates or the straw hat pirates which is now there official name to other pirates and pirate hunters out there.

I think there still if one more member to join the crew after chopper well I think.

Somebody tell me who else joins the straw hat crew.

I just wanna know who are the Seven Armed Seas (Shichibukais) or the seven infamous legendary pirates.

In the anime they show seven but the faces are blacked out silhouettes.

The only ones I know so far are:

1. Mihawk Hawkeye
2. Arlong
3. Crocodile
4. Red Hair Shanks which I just found out is actually one.

Which is four that I know so far but the other three I don't know.

If you know them just post in spoiler tags.

Oh and for newest member of Luffy crew in order are:
1. Luffy
2. Zolo (Zoro)
3. Nami
4. Usopp change he's name to Sogeking
5. Sanji
6. Chopper (Tony Tony Chopper)
7. Nico Robin...aka Miss Sunday
But I there is talk about an 8th member on some forums
but no official word

Apparantly Usopp leaves the crew and returns as Sogeking but unknown if he has rejoin the crew or not

So Shank's isn't one of them....well the forum I was just on was wrong then...strange then.

Seven Warlord of the Sea...Yes that it or Seven Military Seas

So the current listed ones we know are:

1. Dracule "Hawkeye" Mihawk
2. Crocodile
3. Arlong

After Crocodile is defeated he loses to Luffy he loses he's rank and Blackbeard Pirates Marshall D. Teach may take he's place

The others I probably won't list since it is a spoiler but the manga hasn't mention the last one.

Wikipedia only mentions four but doesn't mention Arlong as one but the anime does as one.

So there probably is One that's not mentioned yet...which I think was Shanks on another forum but Raven xavier saids it's not.

How do you know it's not him.

Because he isn't that powerful nor is there anything to indicate he is famous. You never see a wanted poster and the only thing he reeeally has for him is gallantry, o and he runs from the Marine something that the shichibukai don't do because they work for them.

Arlong was never a Shichibukai, to my knowledge. The replacement for Crocodile hasn't been chosen, but there has been interest in Shanks, and we know that Blackbeard want to become one too. The issue hasn't really been touched on since Skypiea, I think.

So, to my knowledge the four Shichibukai that have been revealed are those listed in Wiki.

I read somewhere that it had to do with the original Japanese animation company or something. The change only ocurred after the dubbed One Piece version ran, as Viz's Shounen Jump volumes had it as Zoro for a little while

If you ever get the chance, see the original or read the comics. There's so much to Eichiro Oda's masterpiece that was horribly mangled in the dub... I can handle the expected blood and adult content edits; it's the cutting out of vital characterisation and plots that bugs me. But I shan't digress...

SS3 Son Goku: Just re-watching the Arlong arc again, I think I know why you believe he was a Shichibukai. In the Grand Line, Arlong fought alongside a merman called Jinbei, who is a Shichibukai (Arlong himself is not, however)

just a quick note Zolo yes Zolo's name was never changed it is in Japan also Zolo it is quite simply that japanese people pronounce L sounds as more of an R sound as there arent any R's in the japanese alphabet hense:
zolo-zoro
lollie-rorrie etc.

The 'r' in Japanese is not as distinct as the english 'r'. It's really more a cross between an 'l' and an 'r' (It's very rolling). In romanisation, however, it is typed as an 'r'. Technically, it is the 'l' that the Japanese lack. If you listen to the Japanese anime you can sometimes hear when they make a distinction; EG, Zoro and Luffy (Rufii in Japanese script) will have a different emphasis on the sound of the 'r'. It's impossible to tell the inflection in text, however, so you get conflict over names (Eneru or Enel, Lucci or Rucci, Califa or Carifa etc...)

I can assure you that it is Roronoa Zoro, not Zolo. On official Japanese merchandise where is name is spelt in English letters, it is Zoro.

Madman will release it if 4Kids releases it. They had said they were going to, but I've heard there are no immediate plans to release an uncut version. It would have to be Japanese audio only for the full version unless they re-did the dub, because the english script is totally messed up due to the edits (Unless they packaged the edited dub and the unedited Japanese language together or something). The market might be seen by them as not worth the effort of release. We might see an unedited version, but not for a while.

See Zoro is CORRECT

There two japanese characters for Zoro's name which are ZO and RO

The japanese character SO becomes ZO with hypens....well hard to explain with out japanese katakana and hiragana characters here but I think Zoro is written in Katakana (If i can remeber my japanese).

There IS a RO character in japanese but there is no LO character in japanese which IS VERY STRANGE why they changed it to LO.

Also there is no V sound in japanese either....example DBZ character Vegeta...is actually Bejiita....but still changed to Vegeta which sounded better in english.

So people still officially call him Zoro.

Well, 'L' would be the closest approximation to 'R', so it's not too strange why they changed it to Zolo.

Certain Japanese sounds are used to approximate corresponding sounds in other languages; so since Vegeta is not a Japanese name, it must be approximated in Japanese script to 'Bejiita'. Another example would be Sanji's attacks, which are primarily French culinary terms. Eg; the attack 'Epauchage' is registered in Katakana as 'Epuryushaaju'
