I finally got my car back from the shop. It's a stock 1990 R32 Gts-t. I used my really crap camera to take the photos.

More photos:

SKYLINE FOR THE WIN Very Happy

Looks really nice ^__^

I'm in the process of getting some prices together so I can begin operation 'Rice-my-R33' (damn my penchant for super-rare genuine japanese body parts XD It's harder than I thought it'd be...) Very Happy If things go according to plan it'll be one sexy (and very individual - no unsatisfactory locally made 400R kits here) beast by the time I'm finished though Very Happy~

Can't wait till you finish "ricing" you R33. You gotta get some photos up when you're done. Smile

As for me, I have no money which means no mods for the R32 any time soon. Although I really have to replace the shiftknob because 15 years have not been kind to it.

Hehe truth (Though.. Those aren't stock 32 GTS-t wheels, are they? Different wheels make a hell of a difference to a stocker, just like my car) Very Happy Expect photos of the finished product in... About a year or so XD It's gonna be expensive and take quite some time... Especially since I need to shell out for a full respray... The years and previous owners haven't been to kind to the paintwork, unfortunately >__<

I'm not really sure but the wheels have the Skyline logo so I thought it was stock.

They look like R32 GTR wheels from memory *checks up* Yeah. That be they.

As for colour... Not really sure, probably just stick with silver. Or yellow if I feel like attention-whoring XD

I would, but with the type of spoiler I have in mind (puts STi spoilers to shame I tells ya! Wink)yellow would be a little bit much, and have +14 COP MAGNET skill. Plus seing a grotty yellow R33 with a veilside front bar, chromies and thin brown racing stripes around here has kinda put me off yellow 33s... ;-;

Not at all, Im not a car biased person. I almost got a WRX myself, but decided I still like to be slightly different (No offence Dante) and its easier to buy something different then modify. Personally, I blew a LOT of cash on the old laser. Not planning the same thing on the Evo....just maintenance.

that's good to hear. me on the other hand, i'm only biased towards really bad "look at me, i'm a hero" type commodore/ford drivers.

danielpenna wrote:

no offence taken, the sad thing is that WRX's/STI's are getting really really common around townsville. but luckly for me the MY01/02's (famous bugeyes model/shape Very Happy) are still far & few inbetween Very Happy
luckly for my Dad too, i have only seen one other MY05 STI around townsville, lucky barstard!

you probably wouldn't hear it cause it sounds nothing like a rex done up.

yeah, anyway, i think that it use to live in brisbane or somewhere in that area but now has exchanged hands & lives in townsville. and this thing really does eat V8's. it's a Japanese spec 2.5 ltr twin turbo monster. i know the now new owner & had the chance to look under the hood on the weekend. it's awesome, 3 1/2" stainless steel pipes everywhere! on it's consevrative tune running 18psi, it makes about 280+ kw's at all four corners. the owner said it's quite able to run 32psi on max tune but hasn't done that yet.

he did take it to the drag strip here but i can't remember the times off the top of my head, but he did beat a V8 using nos by about 4 car lengths. Very Happy but still has a little trouble with true godzilla's.

Maybe he doesn't want to have to rebuild it every four or five times he takes it to the drags.

an engine block, or an actual car with a V8 in it? Smile what model? there's plenty of sub12 second V8s in QLD, and more than a few sub10s.

Doesn't sound very Japanese spec to me if it has an extra .5ltr and turbo Razz (at least, as far as I know Japan doesn't have a 2.5 engine, I could be wrong)

I don't think I need to mention the results of spending the same amount of money on a V8... Razz

Max tune doesn't always mean "safe" tune Razz but the previous owner had put it up to 30psi.

2.5L on a WRX wouldnt be Any-Spec at all I think. It wouldnt make sense for them not to release it in Australia or any other countries?

but who knows, I think though that it would have be one of those custom porting jobs on the guys engine :/
as for a WRX being Twin Turbo? fair effort on the guys part! especially in how much cash he woulda had to fork out to get custom manifolds built!

What series is the '94 model FD?

Because if it is a series 6 then, correct if I'm wrong, it's not eligible for import unless as a personal import.

I asked about the series 6 FD last year when I was importing my R32 so maybe the laws have been changed since then.

Indeed, Series 6

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RX-7 Wink

Yup, laws have tightened and FDs are not eligable for import. And only FC that are 1990 or older are eligable from my understanding Shocked

They were sold in Australia. $70,000+ pricetag, though.

Oh yeah forgot about those. When I was still looking for a car, searched through every paper there was and you tend to be able to find series 6 FD's. The minimum price I saw was about $35K, I think.

If you have pictures, you can always send them to someone who can post them.

I'm interested in how an Accent looks modded, 'cause my friend's got a... 2003 model (I think?) and plans to add a few things to it (well, more things to it) and I want to see how it looks.

Sweet. I have plans to drop pretty much the entire Whiteline suspension/handling catalogue into my 33 along with some Bilstein shocks sometime this year (Gotta love heavily discounted group buys Very Happy). Just a matter of finding the money I need to do it XD
