You don't need to be with anyone to go to a con, you can meet people there. A great many of us go to the cons alone Sad
All you really need is a car (to carry stuff home in) and a large wallet that can handle the stress of being repeatedly opened. Razz

I think it's a reference to my previous post.
I too am in a situation of owning a car (in my name), but not having a full lisence yet. My next test is in September, hopefully I can pass, so I can do my hours and then drive up to Perth in time for the con. I also have the second interview for the Woolworths Liquor job on Monday, so I should hopefully also have some money to purchase stuffs to laden my car with for the return trip (if I have anything left after buying fuel Razz).

"What car do I have?"

It's a Nissan Pintara. A nice little sporty silver thing that has an accelarator that gets stuck between where I keep it to go at 40 and where I keep it to go at 80. I just happen to like the more angular cars, not a fan of the curvy sports cars of today. Automatic Transmission, equaliser, and a tape deck Sad First thing on my list of changes to make when I get a job; install an MP3 player. A trip to Perth is no fun without Daft Punk, The Gorillaz and JPop. Mr. Green

to be honest i don't have many friends myself i've always mixed with people older than me, i don't have many younger than me...

i could say i have alot of aquaintances that ive known over the years in person and over the net, though none that i could really call my friends, as i haven't really met them in person and got really to know them outside of the pc screen, there's only 1 i've met over the net through a bullitin board service.....

maybe in time we will be friends its really hard to tell...

though i have talked a few off this webboard in msn and other chat programs....

Confused Man.... I alway's go out on the weekend having fun with a group of 10 and for me every weekend that group of 10 is different. I aint saying I have a lot of people that I would call true friend's but I do have 2-3, and those 2-3 I can really rely on. Very Happy

unfortunently i don't really get money to go out at the moment due to the lack of finance, due to paying bills and the odd anime here and there money is really tight...

living above your means isn't advisable even if you enjoy collecting anime, blowing your cash on anime and not paying bills, will eventually put you in the poor house....

trust me i know what i'm talking about cause i'm living through it as we speak, if you ever get a credit card my advice would be to use it wisely and what ever you don't max it out, abusing them can bight you in the arse very hard, if you have paytv use it or loose it as the burden of paying it monthly will eventually get the where you can't pay the bill because of other mounting debts you have...

never pay the min ammount on your credit card cause that barely covers the interest you pay on it...

I have been through it before.... never again.
I can't say that I am ever short of money.... but I aint rich I keep to a budget also. So if there is anything extra that I wont I just dip into my saving's..... but making sure that I make up for it next pay Very Happy

yu know talking about using a credit card i found that i always check my bank account before i make any purchase. i say "well i have the money in my account and i CAN afford this [insert item here (anime works best Very Happy )] so what the hey! i'll buy it now and cover my costs in a day or two".

but a credit card is sooooo easy to use, so i really just have to put it away after use and tell myself a present will be in the mail soon. aaaahhhhh the joys of buying on-line!!!

personal loan, phone, internet & credit card, what little is left may buy anime or food and drinks, not fun when you get less than $50 a fortnight to spend on yourself...

hey i remember 40cents a litre i jus never got to pay it!!!

yu know i was told by a petrol station fellow on thursday morning that "apparently" putting moth balls into yur tank gives yu better fuel ecconomy, or more power for cheaper, or something lyk that. he then went on to tell me that "mythbusters" proved that it could work, although what detrimental effects it would have to the car were uncertain.

but if it worked!!! wow! we ALL wouldn't be so broke!!! Smile we could ALL have more cash to spend on anime!!! Very Happy
