You obviously didn't watch enough Play School as a child then.

According to my mother, when I was three years old, I refused to watch Play School and Sesame Street, informing her that it was "too childish".

Since I have trouble remember what happened last week, I can't deny or acknowledge the events of 16 years ago.

In other news.

Here's a suggestion to moderators and admins :
Be a bit more lenient with newbie threads. I noticed that in INTRODUCE YOURSELF some more senior members made some birthday threads, then a newbie made one for him, and it was closed! What the hell is going on there? I've been coming here for ages and in the last couple of months I've noticed a few acts of bias.
One particular mod or admin, closes thread like there's no tomorrow - in unnecessary cases.
Take note.
Anyway, keep it real.

Hm. What a strange thread.

OK, if you had to choose one of these, which would it be:

1: Being able to fly for one day every five years.
2: Being able to climb on walls and ceilings (no time limit). Of course, this includes any vertical/horizontal surface, not just walls and ceilings.
3: Being able to jump, land, run and fight like the people in Ninja Scroll.

This one, easily. I mean, being able to fly for one day every five years really isn't that much. You'd get to fly maybe 16 days in your entire life? Come on. The walking on buildings one was interesting, but I think that the Ninja Scroll movements would be more practical in the long run.

Yes merric I can see how we all need to be able to chop tables in half with our bare hands

And this thread was obviously related to this one http://www.madman.com.au/madboard/Forum5/HTML/000555.html

Of which the situation was handled splendidly by Trunks_LSS

Edit: Oh and it was me who stole the cookie from the cookie jar....
*thinks of complaint about mods* umm... ahhh... I know... Sauceman. Yes Sauceman for not finishing http://www.madman.com.au/madboard/Forum14/HTML/000132.html

Well I don't wish to complain except the birthday thread thing. No wait, I am complaining.

I believe it's a little unfair how moderators can post unnessecary topics (eg. Kermi v3.1 for Workgroups' topic - Things to do when you're bored) yet if a lowly member (such as I ) posts something it immediately gets closed. I remember an innocent newbie posting a topic introducing himself - it was closed.

Gomen - if I'm overreacting, but I guess I should have my say too, since I'm a regular member around here.

Intro has more or less become a repository for garbage threads, provided they're interesting. As for SS Warrior 2's birthday thread being closed.. I get the impression in that instance, he was just posting the thread because two other people did. If it was really his birthday, then my apologies, but constant repetitions of similar threads grows old. It doesn't have much to do with how popular you are, it's really to do with who gets in first.

As for the "things you do when you're bored" thread"... keep in mind that was all chat interactions with board members, and in a sense, help the readers of those chat logs understand the members of this message board better. In a sense, my thread is what the Intro forum is all about.

Yeah, if it was flying every day or once a week, I'd probably choose it, but it's flying for a day, once every five years.

Anyway, this discussion is pretty stupid, so I'm going to stop.

It seems to be Madman Cinema now. I guess not all films that Madman release are HK movies..

After gathering feedback from UBB members and discussion with the managing director of Madman - Tim Anderson, we, being the UBB administrators altered the title of the HK Cinema forum to Madman Cinema, so that discussion could incorporate more Madman releases (but non-anime titles)... such as Pi, Startup.com, Le Placard, A Ma Soeur!, The Bank, Mullet, etc..

It's not as if HK Cinema was all that active anyway, so I don't see why you're complaining.

May I remind you all that Madman Cinema releases still include HK films? Hence the Madman Cinema forum can still be used to discuss those.

To Admins. and Moderator:
Don't be so harsh with new users of the message board, saying to search for an answer and not giving a simple answer is only going to cause more problems..
I often use the search option myself and it isn't that useful. People often use abbreviations or different name for a series so some threads can easy be missed and there is no sort option (ie sort by date) for the results. The default sort order seems to be forum by forum from earliest message to the latest message.
Also the default view of forums for new users is very short, only shows about the last 15 days by default I think.
A perfect example, I just tried search for Love Hina over all forums and the thread in which Madman posted would take many pages of results to get to due to the sort format.
The best way to prevent most frequent questions would be a FAQ but Madman can't seem to keep theirs updated...

Yes but by the same token other members on the message board do not exist purely to answer questions about release dates and licencing arrangements when they've already been answered fifty times before.

Interviewer: Good evening. I have with me in the studio tonight one of the country's leading skin specialists - Raymond Luxury Yacht.
Raymond: That's not my name.
Interviewer: I'm sorry - Raymond Luxury Yach-t.
Raymond: No, no, no - it's spelt Raymond Luxury Yach-t, but it's pronounced 'Throatwobbler Mangrove'.
Interviewer: You're a very silly man and I'm not going to interview you.

I think we need it printed big on every forum. "Use Search before asking!"
