I have reciently been trying to get (Chobits the collection) and the 4th voloume of wolf's rain from the Electronic's boutique.

Both times I hav asked about the dvd's I have been told by the shop that the dvds are no longer avalible and have been recalled.

Is there a porblem with these dvds???

IT makes me very worried to have them on order somewhere else. Crying or Very sad

Can somone please confirm or deny this problem

No longer availible from EB, and have been recalled from EB branches.

EB doesn't keep backstock; they only keep recent titles on the shelves and in their ordering system. Chobits is not so recent, so EB no longer stocks it; EB staff use the same words to describe this situation as normal people use to describe the situation of "the disk is buggered to buggery and noone would want to buy it; we've shipped it back to MM house in Abbotsford".

Order through a shop that doesn't suck; you won't have any problem.

JB-HI-FI has a bigger range too, and some titles are a little cheaper

I third it. After being told by EB that Chobits had been recalled in the exact same words, I found the entire box set (two of them) at my local JB.

Like I said; to EB, "recalled" means "recalled by head office 'cause they don't want to deal with it any more".

I'm actually surprised that JB is not the 1st preference when people look for new titles to buy. EB is crap. Most other places are crap as far as selection is concerned.

I can understad when people go through EB when there is nothing else around in their area... but damn, nearly evey major shopping centre has a JB outlet now. I suppose EB comes handy when they have a sale of some sort, but the savings can be quite marginal at best. meh...

JB doesn't even exist in some states. That's why.

Ordering through EzyDVD (offline, money-order getting it posted ordering I mean) can actually work out cheaper. Again, it depends rather heavily on your location. Living right on the edge of the middle of nowhere like I do, it's far cheaper (especially when you take into consideration how much it costs to run your car these days) just to get a mail order. I'm in town 6 days out of every seven most of the time so going to the post office is no problem. I find EzyDVD usually sell at RRP. and I f they don't I just wait for them to reduce the price.

Actually I think yes. "Fool me once..." and all that. most people see the word "SALE" and think 'you little beauty!' and go in a spend megabucks when they're only paying RRP. It'd be interesting to know just how many people they sucker in like that. Recently I had an email informing me that their M*A*S*H tv boxsets where on sale...for two dollars less than usual. Sorry sunshine. No sale. for non-anime I'll stick to K-Fart.

Anyway what was the topic again? Oh yeah EB. I've been in one...once.
Never Again. It was crowded, not just customer-wise, everything was jumbled together like Cyclone Tracy had come back for another go and there was no anime or manga (which was what I was after) to be seen. Not that there's either EB or JB at Munno. THere is a Hardly Normal but we never go in there.

This thread has served its purpose; EBs system isn't always up to scratch, so be sure to clarify or shop around (it's your dollars that do the talking, after all).

I don't really need a see to continue the thread with bashing on any brands in particular, since each store is different (even in the same city).
