I have always loved martial arts/ninjas/samurai type shows/movies. So yeah me liking Naruto is pretty much instinct.
Lol we all know the fillers are annoying, that's why I havent watched 'em yet and just went straight to Shippuuden (and man oh man do I love Shippuuden) Very Happy

To me Naruto is much better then DragonBall Z. It is funny, has plenty of action and a good story. Compared to DragonBall Z it is superior in all these things but they are both enjoyable series.

Note I'm not hating on Dragon Ball

I started with it 'cos there was nothing else on Pay TV in that timeslot and I'd heard so much raving about it...I stayed with it (even though I found the title character SOOOOO annoying) 'cos I'm a sucker for a good redemption story...I'm still waiting for it to start (if it ever does)...

Wait! There are HOW MANY fillers?

Man...I know with anime you've got to expect the fillers...it wouldn't be an anime without the fillers...but that's got to be some kind of record!

Are any of them worth looking at? At all?

Well if you like ninjas, fight scenes and cool powers

then naruto is for you

and if you end up liking naruto then I recomend watching shippudden

which is esentially part 2 of naruto and they are all grown up

its really epic but its more serious

part 1 is more lol's than anything Laughing

its great Very Happy

Yeah...I've been watching/reading Shippudden (what does Shippuden actually mean anyway?)...Naruto (the character) is not nearly as annoying as he used to be...but I'm still waiting for my Sasuke redemption story.

It's looking less and less likely...

Sad

But, I guess as long as Naruto hasn't given up on him there's still hope.

What I originally (and I stress originally) liked about Shippuden was how Sakura actually did something. I cannot describe how entertaining the Sasori VS Chiyo and Sakura fight was. Sakura actually seemed to show character development and got involved in the big fights.

But nowadays, she's fallen back into her old, whiny 'Sasuke...' mode. Everyone seems to have taken more of a backseat role. There's also the fact that (potentially big spoilers for people who aren't up to date with recent chapters) it took over 450 chapters for Sakura to realise Naruto loved her, when it was painfully clear from the beginning. Add to that the fact that Sai, the character who supposedly struggles to understand emotions, was the one who told her this, and you get a big 'WTF Sakura?!' moment.

Maybe I'm just too bitter...Razz

Maybe she just didn't want to...believe it.

Gods but I am SO glad that catchphrase is gone.

The crushes are so messed up! One person has a crush on another person who has absolutely no interest or is totally oblivious to it and the person that person has a crush on has a crush on somebody else who also has absolutely no interest or is totally oblivious to it. No matter who ends up with who...if anybody ends up with anybody...somebody's going to get hurt.

But then, I don't think romance is a major plot point here.

I started Shippuden and ran out of eps to see at ep17 but omfg, between Shippuden and Naruto it's like night and day! Shocked Shippuden is sooo good! I can't wait till I get more eps! Very Happy it really helps when you don't hate the main cast Laughing more serious is way better Cool

question, are the fillers skippable? I was stupid enough to watch through most of Naruto's fillers up to ep194 cuz I was worried about them implementing the fillers into the real story like Bleach did with the Bount Arc, I hope like the Naruto fillers the Shippuden fillers aren't integrated so I can skip them without missing out on anything important

Well...the filler episodes are currently airing on Cartoon Network...if you have the means you can check them out there before you buy any.

Personally, I'd say they're shippable. But I also like to support the official releases so that we continue to GET official releases...

You asked if the fillers were skippable. You can watch them on Cartoon Network (Monday to Thursday 8 PM) and make up you're own mind.

...future Naruto...which takes place some time after Shippuden? Maybe it might happen.

PS. I wonder if Team 7 should kept their eye on Sasuke more? I know, he has potential, but...
