I was just watching Dir en Grey's PV for 'Obscure', and it was, well, pretty weird, not to mention a bit gross, what with the vomiting, and ripping out of a heart and eating it... ewwww!

It is always interesting to see what can be shown on tv in other countries! And Japanese tv seems to have NO boundaries whatsoever!

What is the weirdest PV you have seen?

I haven't seen many, but MALICE MIZER's ILLUMINATI is always creepy, with it's necrophilia and dying and suicide.

Yeah, definitely dir en grey's OBSCURE PV. I love it though, a really well done video. I would say dead tree was weird too with the story, and agitated screams of maggots PV was disgusting.

Malice Mizer - Beast of Blood due to the evil kids in it. But this PV wins for mana standing with violin and not playing it. Also swaying guitar mana. XD XD. Favouritest PV!!111

Ayumi Hamasaki - RAINBOW. It was weird until I understood it, but the way she expresses the meaning in the PV was still very weird. Razz But its one of my favourite videos ever.

Also Ayumi Hamasaki - ANGELS SONG. This PV is just ****ed up, I love it. Very Happy

cbf thinking of anymorew now, I'll update later.

Yep, Illuminati is pretty weird!

Agitated Screams of Maggots is pretty gross, but clever too! You don't see too many claymation video clips. Mind you, LM.C have got one for their song 'Little Fat Man Boy' which is cute!

Hey, do you guys know the name of the Dir en Grey song that has a filmclip where they are black and white, on a painted background with colourful butterflies and birds flying about? I can send you a link to it privately if you like.

Bugger, I don't have any programs that will allow me to take a screenshot of the film clip!

Yep, Cube is pretty weird too! Razz

Ourselves is just scary. Same with ladies night. But they're good videos. Very Happy

Ayu really does do the best scary/freaky videos.

Grief - Dir en Grey. If what I think is happening to the woman in it, is in fact happening (hard to tell as it's a very fast clip), it's quite disturbing. Great song though.

Can't be disturbed by the video as you can't see a damn thing in it. It really ruined the video. =/

It would have to be the same for me. They're video clips can be a bit on the yuck side, but that's what we love about them - they're so different that you can't help but love them. But I have seen the video clip for Kiyoharu's 'slow' and in it he looks weird. I love Kiyoharu, I have for years, but he just looked so....strange in that clip.

For some reason, I always found the filmclip to Mameshiba by Maaya Sakamoto to be pretty odd. Her Universe clip is odd but cool, too.

You're going to hate me for this, but I steer clear of Maaya Sakamoto. I don't really like her too much. I think it's probably my traumatized experience of hearing her voice the character for Hitomi in Escaflowne. I don't know why, but that show gives me the creeps. She is cute, though. Very Happy

I really like her song 'Gravity' from the RahXephon soundtrack, but I wouldn't call myself a fan! ^_^

Obscure by Dir en Grey does indeed have a strange but interesting PV. Also I didn't quite get what the deal was with the mice in Child Prey, but it was cool.

Psycho le Cemu's PV for their cover of Domo Arigatou Misuta Roboto is pretty interesting. It shows someone in a giant robot suit going around beating up kids at a playground, playing knock'n'run, wreaking havoc at a supermarket and commiting many other misdemeanors.

Oh, tell me about it. For a long time this was my favourite song by Utada and after being impressed by the artistic Colors PV and then the funky, psychadelic PVs of Travelling and Sakura Drops you can imagine my disappointed upon first viewing the Hikari PV. I thought it was a farce, I couldn't believe it. ;_;

Hey, you're welcome to your opinion. She's about my favourite Japanese singer, though, so... yeah.

I really love her voice. It's so damn happy.

Oooh, I haven't heard their version (don't mind a bit of PLC). Will see if I can find their PV somewhere. Very Happy

Ah! Sorry Stormwolf. My bad with the last post. I mean "Polysics", not PLC. They are next to each other in my J-music PV collection ^_^;

Lol, I was a bit confused by that... I thought I had pretty much all of PLCs stuff and I hadn't heard of that before! Very Happy

Maybe that's why I don't like her. I'm used to Dir en grey and anything happy-like makes me feel crappy, lol.

I'd have to agree with Illuminati by Malice Mizer, what with all the weird things gackt does in it.
