Today I read;

Fullmetal Alchemist 12
Neon Genesis Evangelion 1-3

Oh, these (and my last post) are actual volumes and not chapters either. Also, I actually enjoyed the Eva manga somewhat but can't really get into the anime...

MPD Psycho. I have the Miike TV adaptation. It's one of those odd adaptations where it's quite different to the source material (at least so far), but you have to have read the source material to really understand the adaptation.

Only up to book 3 at present. The main drawback with reading manga as it's published is that the publishing schedule is so slow, I've generally forgotten the plot by the time the next instalment comes out.

Yeah, they released them all as well. It's just a while ago Tokyopop began releasing their own titles themselves rather than go through MM. So, what's left of those two titles on the site'n'stuff is left over stock.

Still, Tokyopop and MM have gotten back together but they haven't gotten more stock in for those titles which is slightly annoying as I was up to vol6 of Chobits...

Tokimeki Tonight. Sorta meh; not horrible, but not...

dammit kitty, stop chewing the powercord. No, the cat5's OK.

... anyway. Not compelling. Still, dollar a volume second-hand-bookshop discount bin [jp; local second-hand bookshop has a few bookshelves of jp books including some manga], no reason to aggressive go-getter. I mean, if it were any good I would have had to pay more.

I finally stopped putting it off and completed Ghost in the Shell 2, it's not as good as the original, just so different it's ultimately not a sequel which is what I wanted, a sequel, also too philosophical and confusing to follow in order to enjoy at no fault of the reader, I just felt that the events were too poorly explained (something happens on a boat, then something with pigs and then a cop girl and a game and an explosion and this and that, nothings properly explained) and took a back seat for what could be considered as the preaching of the philosophical elements, GitS had a good balance (until the ending) sad that GitS2 lost this balance, though it was still enjoyable at parts, also I disliked the fanservice, far too numerous and I say either draw the girls naked or clothed, no in betweens, it's annoying when a girls drawn supposedly naked yet say nipples aren't drawn in [not implying anything I just think it looks weird this way and I would much prefer some clothes, a bikini at the very least] (Air Gear is a bit guilty of this as well)

otherwise I continue to enjoy Ranma 1/2 Cool

School Rumble vol 6.

Been catching up the series after it took a while to get used to. After vol 6, it'll be vols 7 & 8 before I'll get into either Ouran Highschool Host Club 10 or Kare Kano vols 1->3 collection.

Milk Closet, 1-4. Started off like the bastard offspring of Narutaru/Shadow Star and EVA, but with younger kids than either [ran in Afternoon, that's no surprise there], looked quite promising, but... the ending is rather abrupt. Exceedingly abrupt. Time Stranger Kyouko abrupt, or if you haven't read Time Stranger Kyouko that's about as abrupt as TV-ver EVA.

Looks like it lost about a volume or two off the planned run length. Not sure why. Could have been quite good, but the ending shifts it to interesting.

Also: teizokurei Daydream/Ghost Talker's Daydream. 1-5, so far: Really Really Good. Recommended.

Just finished the last volume of Hyper Police. It felt like it could have gone on for a while longer but the Extra Bits section tied up most of the loose ends. It was bit strange that we never got to see Natsuki/Batanen's wedding or the details there after Razz.

Against what I may have said previously, I started a new series, Rurouni Kenshin.

I didn't want to start a new one because I've got about 11 series in various states of "unfinished", but I just love Kenshin so much I had to start.

Oro! Very Happy

Read Parasyte 3 and Chibi Vampire 8. Now reading Lament of the Lamb 2->7.

Parasyte continues to be very gruesome. I'm amazed that it hasn't been covered in plastic considering bloody gore that is in its pages.

Still a bloody good read though. Wink

Read vols 2->7 of Lament of the Lamb and was a very addictive read. It was impossible for me to not read the entire series without stopping.

Going to read Hayate The Combat Butler vol 7 and then hopefully Foxy Lady vol 1 later today.

Fruits Basket Volume 9.

Been a fan of this series for a few years, but due to location and financial issues, haven't been able to start collecting the manga until recently.

Right now?

Ouran High School Host Club - New chapter this week!

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - I still can't get over the events of chapter 189! After this weeks chapter (191) there will be a four week hiatus Sad

Inu Yasha - Been reading this for 7 years but dear god, I want a conclusion already! I got to the stage where I honestly didn't care what was happening anymore. This manga has been going for 12 years already! Just let it end!

xxxHolic - only just started this one

Fruits Basket - I've had the anime for years, so I always wanted to know how the story really ends

I'm currently reading "Monster" volume 2. Loved the anime and was curious to see how the manga was - turns out it followed it pretty much scene for scene.

Just finished reading vol. 5 - 8 of Chrono Crusade. Have to say that I enjoyed it alot more then I did the anime. Far far better ending. Atleast I think so.

Aswell as Negima vol. 17. Now I have to wait till the next issue gets released in a few months or so.

Just finished Vols.4 & 5 of Kashimashi, I found the ending of the manga a lot better (& initially darker) than the anime ending.

I went through a Ranma 1/2 marathon the past 2 days Laughing read so much, man I love it, my collection is running out though Sad i'll have to try and get some more

also, Inuyasha ends this week Crying or Very sad I loved the anime, was saddened when Cartoon Network axed the anime nights but I didn't start the manga because I wanted to try and see the rest of the series first, this was until I heard that Inuyasha was entering its final arc so I went after the manga and just out of no where I got ch552 and have been reading it weekly since, i'm gonna miss Inuyasha Crying or Very sad though it probably won't be the same for me as I haven't been reading it for a decade Laughing (speaking of which, any upcoming or just started manga I could start on?)

Bleach is going awesome Cool though this chapter wasn't as eventful as the others, rofl at Urahara emotionlessly saying "Why are you lying to me?" Laughing (this series i'll probably get that buzz when it finishes)

/edit

forgot to ask, who thinks that Ranma and Ukyo would make a better couple than Ranma and Akane? I do Laughing

Eyeshield 21 - vol 17
this is one of my favourite sport title, can't understand all of American football rules, but I have to say it's really fun.

Ode to Kirihito
great manga, creepy and exciting, not as good as Buddha though
