According to this article, BCI Eclipse is releasing the 2002 remake of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on DVD. Since Madman has already released the two previous He-Man series, i hope they license this show too.

I LOVED He Man (and sort of loved She Ra) but the remake of He Man was kinda dodgy, it was on pay TV a little while ago.

Almost as bad as the New Adventure of He Man (AKA He Man in Space)! Laughing

I somehow missed it when it was on Foxtel, but wouldn't mind checking the new series out, to see how it compares

from what I saw of this series it was just a touch up of the earlier series..

So I doubt MM will look at releasing it...

If this gets an Australian release I hope they make a box that completes the Mural like it does on the US boxes.

I prefer NA He-Man to the Filmation one as there are story archs, character dev and a proper finale. Also He-Man actually uses the power sword to fight with rather than used for poser purposes. It what the original should have been but without limited and re-used animation and low budget in the VA department (i.e no talentless daughter of the boss voicing).

The main reason for "bad" is that when we are kids, we just enjoy them ~ when we're adults (lets say after 15-20 years or so), we do critical analysis....things can definitely become dodgy!!
