Is it possible that there may be more released later on down the track? It just annoys me because the series was just getting interesting.

No word yet. There was a rumour when the series ended in 2004 that Sunrise would continue the anime once the manga was over, but I gotta say it doesn't look likely. The problem is, Rumiko Takahashi doesn't know when to quit. Looks like she might be on the way to ending the series now, however the manga has been jumping the shark for the past 3 or so years :/.

Yeah it looks like it could be ending in a few chapters. Although I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she decided to drag it out for another big story arc. And I kinda wish that they would make a second series, or at least some OAVs or movies that covers events after the anime ended, Kagura's death was a real emotional one and an anime version of it would make it an even better scene as well as clearing up all the loose ends with Hakudoushi and everything else.

True that. Even if there is just another movie of the last chapters, that would do fine. As long as it explain the events leading up to it.

Plus I want more InuYasha too. And Kagome Very Happy

What we need is to see the end of Naraku!!

And some confession of love between InuYasha and Kagome.

All serious though, I believe there is some truth that there will be NO more InuYasha to be made.

Naraku will survive the apocalypse. If there's one thing we can learn from InuYasha, it's that Naraku cannot be destroyed. Even when you think he is, it's all just an illusion. He's really still there, lurking in the shadows.

It could depend on how well people liked the manga.

These dates don't make any sense. The manga started in 1996 and is set to end next week. The anime ran from December 2000 until September 2004.

yea, it ended Crying or Very sad I read it, even though I haven't seen anything inbetween the introduction of Entei the demon horse (the last ep i've seen) to ch552 (which I randomly checked out a few weeks ago and decided to go weekly from there Razz ) I'd like to see the anime get restarted (I also heard that the company would like to continue doing it) but probably won't like how Ranma 1/2 never restarted (updated visuals would've been cool Wink ), I look forward to getting a hold of all the manga and reading it right through, nice ending btw though some things weren't 100% clear, like did Inuyasha and Kagome actually get married? seemed a bit soon though I guess a lot of that may have been in everything I haven't seen

I wonder what her next series will be though (i'll probably be biased against it at first though because it isn't Inuyasha Laughing )

I agree. I have to say that InuYasha is the best of her works.

It was kinda implied that they did get married with her calling Seshoumaru Onii-san, also Shouta said she went off to get married. Was expecting Rin to be with Seshoumaru, but he did come to visit her.

I know but then they both (Inuyasha and Seshoumaru) gave her weird faces and Inuyasha said something about it having a bad ring to it which was kind of odd to me, sounded like they hadn't married yet. Anyway I wonder if they had kids, or if she ever goes home to visit.

there was something else, is it just me or have I seen that ending before? I didn't think of it at first but it just feels really familiar as if i've seen a similarly paced ending Confused where they get seperated but find themselves again

Maybe there will be a special or something to tie things up. Probably not seeing as the last chapter was meant to be the tie up. But still, it couldn't hurt.

it's possible, Death Note recently had that one shot that took place several years after the end of the series, but unlikely, or at the very least not for a few years

actually I could imagine a semi spin off series which started a new adventure that focused on all the kids (now a bit older of course)

I wouldn't rule out the possibility that they might make a few more movies that will some up the end of the manga.

That's the thing, it might not make them any money at all. Inu Yasha popularity has plummeted so much in the last four years.

Yeah, that used to be me as well, however after following a series for seven years that just goes on and on and on and on, I hate to admit it, but my enthusiasm has kinda sorta died. I'm even tempted to sell all my Inu Yasha DVDs, and I have the complete collection as well as the movies.
I guess I was also expecting a better end for the series. Don't get me wrong, the final chapter was pretty cool but, I don't know, for me there were still too many questions left unanswered.

...but that's just my personal opinion!

I spent to much to give up. I also want answers to. When the anime ended I was disappointed in the ending, not so much with the manga, was just sad when that ended.
