It is fact that they would like to continue it. But whether they do or not still has no answer.

irrelevant but I just realized that I have seen the 5th intro, it's the last one I haven't seen (assuming there's only 6 openings)

They have just made a Dragonball special in Japan ten years after the series finished. They might do the same with inuyasha one day.

what one was this?

though it's not really the same, i'm assuming this is a once off, but on the other hand inuyasha is essentially restarting the series with i'm guessing around 50 episodes

Does anyone know how popular the anime is currently in Japan/ If it isn't popular there then we have no hope of getting a release here.

i'm not as excited as you guys, maybe if they were announcing the series continuing I would be Smile but just one short episode? not so excited, though it could path the way to the series returning Very Happy

when does this take place though? anyone know? like is it just a random ep or will it take place right after where the anime ended?

Probably random seeing as it is a special. But it doesn't really matter seeing as there is nothing left to spoil. Except the manga ending.

I probably will end up reading the manga, but I want to save the ending for a while. The series hasn't ended in my eyes until I read the ending.

I am curios, but it will feel as though someone has died when the series has ended.

I was pretty sad when it ended but not reading it doesn't change the fact that it has ended and it's a very satisfying ending (even though since I skipped so much just to read the last few chapters things don't flow that well for me...yet Razz )

That's understandable. I always find it pretty sad when a series I really like ends.

Yeah, that used to be me as well, however after following a series for seven years that just goes on and on and on and on, I hate to admit it, but my enthusiasm has kinda sorta died. I'm even tempted to sell all my Inu Yasha DVDs, and I have the complete collection as well as the movies.

That was me too! I don't dislike the show, but the enthusiasm with which I use to devour each episode died, right around the bonkotsu saga. I had all the movies and the single dvds up to volume 33 and I sold them because I knew I wouldn't continue with it. I hope diehard fans get a proper ending/conclusion because I can understand the disappointment when an ending is left unresolved.

You should watch Berserk but stop on the third last episode, there is a partial ending at that stage. They just decide to put an ending that is completely out of context on the last three episodes. it is still very good only no ending.

ps read the manga!!!!!!

Back to the subject of Inuyasha, has anyone heard anything extra about this special? [/quote]

soz to take it off topic again but I assume you're saying that Berserk was another anime that was based off a manga but was never completed? therefore I should look at the manga instead

Helsing: Again, go for the manga. If you want anime, I prefer the OVA (Helsing: Ultimate) but the release schedule is putting me off. The third volume has been out for yonks and I just can't be bothered getting it yet.

Who would you go to if you wanted to get the facts about a continuation of the Inuyasha anime?

Can America continue it without Japan, like they did with Pokemon?

I can't live without it.

Yes, parts of pokemon were made in an American studio.

I mean who in America would you contact to contact Japan and find out what is going on?

I am so desperate to see more episodes that I wouldn't mind if they were made in an American studio

Does that make sense?

Yes and no, depending on what you mean by "sense". If you mean "conveys a discernable moderately-unambiguous meaning", sure, but if you mean "the meaning conveyed represents a sensible, rational comment under the circumstances", not so much.

Really not so much. On balance, I'm inclined towards... "no".
