Do I take it you've already tried Ozanimart yourself? I also live in Melb, so I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the ones you're after; as well as price they're selling for. I believe that's pretty crazy charging that much, I know Ozanimart increased some prices of their goods due to the market, but wouldn't have thought it'd apply to Madman stock. Strangely enough, some of their Madman box sets were quite cheap last time I went there. Guess it just depends which ones you're after and whether they have it at a decent price or not.

Also, I think it may be a pipe dream to find a boxed set of Samurai X Ova, I haven't seen one of those in years. Sad

AthrunXCagalli, I'll also keep an eye out for those ones as well for you. Although neither of those have become fatpacks yet, JB should still stock them in areas.

I haven't ever been in their City store, but I've dealt with them through their Ebay one. Thanks, the prices don't matter so much, I was just wondering at what point perhaps the cost of the set would outweigh the format it comes in.

Well I've picked up two used ones in the last 2 months, purchased the second one because the first one wasn't in the condition the seller promised and while the 2nd is in great condition I would love a sealed one.

Good Luck! I hope you get them Very Happy

...Unfortunately, JB HI Fi sells them much higher than Madman. I remember the box sets going for about $100.

I have the R1 vol. 3 of Haibane Renmei to get rid of after I got the boxset from ebay but I have never sent any DVD or CD through mail before so I'm a bit clueless to what type of envelope or package to use. I know, sounds really stupid.

No, it doesn't sound stupid. It's good to be cautious about these types of things. I suppose that volume is used though isn't it?

For a start, I am a female (I can't believe YOU of all people didn't know that). Laughing

And I want to use eBay but there's so many reasons why I haven't yet. I've placed ads before for my dad on there but I've never bought from there before. I have no idea how to use PayPal, I don't have my own bank account (which I desperately need) and I'm afraid I'll get rip-offed by some people.

Buy the box! You won't be disappointed. It's well worth it.

Vampire Princess Miyu TV

I forgot that this even existed. I use to see it everywhere but forgot all about it. I'll keep an eye out for it.

So anyway... I think I'll just get the Trigun box and be happy that I was able to get it new.

Of course its easy to say that 'you always knew' after the fact... I had someone on here mistake me for a guy once, despite my obvious girly username... and the fact that I clearly stated I was a girl.

Where? The one time I know someone mistook me for a guy was when I was talking to another member via Yahoo chat.

This is getting pretty much off topic.
Anywho, I can think of one instance that springs to mind, I can even remember who the member was, but alas, I do not remember the thread. I suppose you want me to find it now?

But now I'm curious... and if you can't produce the evidence to back up your statements, well...

BTW, you do realise that by continually posting in the thread, you're also contributing to it being spammed, you could always just pm me if it bothers you that much. Razz

BACK ON TOPIC: I don't know if this will help anyone, but another member Toohey is dispensing with a lot of his collection, so if you're looking for something, might be worth checking out his list in this thread.

I always assume everyone is male unless it's obvious. That or the way they post gives away their actual gender =p (mentioning other halves, going on about certain things and such)

I'm interested in getting the R1 thinpak boxset of Shakugan no Shana from Toohey but it seems like a waste of money since I already got the entire first season from Madman.

The only thing that's appealing about the thinpak set is that it contains the OVA special in English dub which Madman hasn't released or licensed yet but I've already imported the R2 Japanese release of it so I'm kinda unsure whether I should get it or not.

Also, that seller seems to have the boxset of Samurai 7. Weren't a few people looking for that series towards the end of the October sale?

And finally, if anyone remembers, Lynky is still having the sale on his anime collection here. There might be a few titles some may be interested in. He's an aussie seller too.

I forgot to add this in as well for titles I'm after.

Lova Hina Specials Boxset

Since I got the boxset of the series I might as well get the boxset of the specials but it appears most of them are gone now in JB Hi-Fi. I already have the Christmas special that I bought years ago but I'll probably get rid of that if I get the specials boxset.

Went to Midland JB in WA today, saw 2 Maburaho Box Sets, a Love Hina Special Box set and 2x Inuyasha Season 5 and Season 6 Boxes.
None of them interest me so they're still all there.

Vic, near the Melbourne CBD Razz . I doubt any of the JB's I go to would be willing to transfer that from inter-state (asked them once and they said they don't do that).

...and to add another DVD I'm looking for (not a boxset just to be clear)

School Rumble Volume 2 (First Print) - it comes with a bonus magnet sheet.

You'll be able to easily identify whether it's the first print or not since the first print has a white sticker on the front cover that states the bonus magnet sheet. Already got the first prints for all the other volumes but this one seems to be hard to find now.

JB Southland had 6-7 volumes of School Rumble when I went there on Wednesday. I'm sure I saw at least one Vol 2 but I didn't check for magnets or anything. Might be worth a look. The Vol 4 of School Rumble I picked up at the same time did have the magnet sheet, if that's any help.

If you are prepared to spend $120 there are boxes of this at Sanity at Glen Waverley (Melb) and Sanity in Cranbourne (Melb). I was lucky and had Sleepless come to my rescue with this title too!

Also darktruth, keep hassling JB to do interstate transfer if there is something you want, they do it if you are persistant enough!

The English version was called Teknoman, and the DVD release should be available from any online shops in the USA.

Hey guys I'm looking for the old Star Knight Tekkaman Blade series 1,2,3.
I'm after the Eng dub version, only ones I've found are the Japanese Dub/Eng sub ones!

You are definately after Teknoman, only way it is in English is by that name. Minotaur in Melbourne sells the complete collection for $37, so if you live elsewhere; I suggest to try their website.

Sephiroth_FF, were you after only volume 3 of the New Fist of the North Star series? If so, one of the JB's in the city of Melbourne has it for $7

Would just like to let SB & Sephiroth_FF know that they don't need to keep an eye out for Vampire Princess Miyu TV boxset anymore. I managed to get a US seller to accept my offer for the R1 TokyoPop release of the boxset off ebay, it comes with a CD soundtrack to the series and a mystery friendship charm. Razz

So... do any of you try eBay? Or online stores? Or small independant stores/video rental stores?

I do browse eBay every now and then but with eBay stores you never know if you're going to get a box or a fatpack (if the said series has been converted as such) which is why i prefer personal sellers, being that most of the time they post photos.

I find it amazing that it goes for that much, yet someone from here bought the Haibane Renmei box set for only $40 a few months back.

Haibane Renmei hasn't been discontinued though, has it?

Yeah I had put a bid on it... but was lucky to find another collection for 'buy it now' $55 instead! Very Happy

that's a great find sleepless, considering how much the other one went for, it does pay to look around and then decide...

i haven't brought any anime from ebay yet...if i had to i might consider it, but as a last resort only...

It's just that I've been looking quite a bit and didn't see it.
