Well the InuYasha thread may be s l o w now but I still love him! (well, i love Kikyo, and hence love InuYasha by association Wink )

Anyway, JB Hi-fi were selling the individual InuYasha movies for $12 (while the box set of the 4 was still selling for $80 ish... know which way I bought them Razz). So i was compelled to snap them up ofcourse.

Anyway I got them home, swapped out the cover sheet (sorry not sure what the proper name is) and reversed it to the 'clean' side (i.e. the one without the classification board's rating etc - sorry again if using wrong terminology). However once I lined the DVD's up on my bookshelf I found somehting disturbing....

On the spine of movie 1 is the name of the movie, ofcourse, but also the madman logo. The madman logo dissappears from the spine of movie 2, but then REAPPEARS (!!) for movie 3 and 4 :O

Can you imagine it? I wonder why? Anyone else notice this or have I got the rarest of the rare 'movie 2's'??

PS I really don't mind having the madman logo there and I guess I'm making a bigger deal out of this than it really is due to the fact that I doubt anyone will actually ever read this post Razz

Now if I could just get my kid to sleep for 2 hrs I could actually watch one of these movies Razz

Aww and you had a perfect chance to perpetuate the mystery...

You could have said: "After 100 viewings, the madman-less InuYasha Movie 2 will spawn forth your very own shikon jewel shard!"

b/c hes only 13 weeks old, and considering he was 9 weeks early, hes kinda like a 4 weeks old in many ways.

That said, I bet he would watch it if I let him, (atleast for 5 mins). I was watching firefly the other day and he was facinated by a laser battle tacking place. Maybe sci-fi will be his thing Razz

Ya, he seems to be tacking after me (same colour eyes, hair etc) so maybe he will get the geek parts of me too, um, I mean cool parts, like liking anime and scifi etc!

Pity his mother can't stand that stuff - she spoils all our fun *sigh*

my mum thinks the exact same thing XD

It's funny how Anime is viewed like that through some people's eyes.

I wonder...Is it simply because it is animated....it automatically makes it childish and looked down upon...I wonder is that how some people differentiate entertainment from child to adult or is how anything animated is automatically associated to children.

Animated entertainment can also be mature =D Though some might raise an eyebrow at this....XD "but....it's for kids." or "Your too old for that" lol...well i guess it all up to personal opinion. XD

That's great kbz! Always nice to have someone to share it with.
I hope when i have children (in the future) that they will like anime too =D That would make me very happy as i will be able to watch it with them and also they can keep me up to date with new anime series when i've lost track XD

Sorry for rambling a bit...getting a bit offtopic...

Gash, I'm sure it's all good. Probably simply a misprint =D If you want you could print out a small madman logo and stick it on there XD Just a suggestion....XD

actually some years ago it was more commonly seen as 'pornographic' by 'outsiders'; funny how things change... in Japan around the early 70s Otaku were respected even cheered on, but now their outcasts...

Wah! Really? I never knew...and yes...it is funny how views can change overtime. However, wow...isn't that an overstatement..by those 'outsiders'...or have i been hiding in a shell for many years XD

Oh No! Outcasts! I wonder what happened...as that's very drastic change...It's sad...they've done nothing wrong to become isolated.

one of the mane resons for it was the media over hipping the fact that a particular serial killer, pedophile, cannibal (if i remember my facts right) had some henta anime in his video collection and labeled him an Otaku... the burden of this has been past to the real Otaku and despite being Innocent they've had to carry the stigma ever since...

Reminds me of the time I saw Urotsukidōji in the children’s section of my local library. Some parent would have been pretty damn angry about it when there little dear put that in the VCR

2nd movie's much better; although I really enjoyed the third. They're all good, just wish there was more to this series. It was definately one of the best anime series around.

Lord Fluffy. Laughing Yes, that makes him sound really terrifying. Bet you wouldn't say that to his face though. Very Happy

So you're like me, don't know why I liked the third one more. Your daughter liked the fourth, that was pretty good. Sighs, I really need to get the manga; I miss these characters.

4 was good b/c of so much 'lord fluffy' content - where as in movie 1 he was relegated to a few cool moves, cutting stares, and snide remakes.

ps did I mention I have man-love for Sesshomaru??

Now after hearing you guys comments I'm hanging out to fill in the gap by watching movie 2 and 3!

No, but that's okay, we'd've worked it out Wink

I really want to see more of this, only got the first season...but...y'know. Student budgets, etc. Was thinking about just getting the movies regardless, since I know how the manga ends anyway
