The more I think about it, leaving lelouch dead brings more meaning to the story, and focus on the trials of Suzaku's life, now that he is Zero, most likely based a few years down the road

I always loved how at the very end, Kallen didnt say bye to Lelouch, I don't mean in person, but that photo she has on the wall, idk i just found it very lovely =]

Yes I agree, it brought a nice closure to the series... it satisfied my more emotional/romantic side

Also Lelouch was able to use his geass after he had stopped with his father which means that if Lelouch became immortal the he wouldn't have his geass anymore.

but dosent the person who receves the code have to die first? didnt C.C. die when she recived her code?

Hmm, Its been a while since I watched it but I think that it may be just that they lose their memory, rather than dying, unless you mean after they give their code up... in which case they are meant to die I believe.

It may just be because I'm tired but I don't follow, sorry. When Lelouch died we never saw him again, so I don't understand how we know he got his fathers code... Maybe I should go back and read the quote you were replying to in the first place Confused

Edit: Saviour was debunking a "possible" new storyline, he was quite correct.

^Yes, I think attempting to change the ending or revive Lelouch would be a bad idea. Although part of me wants to see the relationship aspect with Kallin and C.C resolved, I think it is safer and better to leave it as is. It was a brilliant ending after all.

i suppose so. either way i'll be happy.

they could make a fumoffu like series with a young Lelouch, Suzaku and Nunnally, when they first met and up until the war on Japan or something along those lines.
