Sounds good!

EDIT: Just noticed that the very first post mentions digital downloads as well as CDs and LPs anyway.

I liked this album as much, if not more, than their first. It's less "Justice" sounding than their first one, a bit more experimental and atmospheric. Some of the songs kind of don't fit in with the rest of the album, but I still like it a lot. I'd definitely say it's at least worth a listen.

Awesome. I preferred the more atmospheric stuff on the first album so sounds like it'll be good. Cheers Wink

I bought, then gave away to a Leonard Cohen fan the blu-ray of his Isle of Wight performance. Not bad at all, but not quite my cup of tea.

Nice title adjustment. Much more reflective of what the thread is intended for I guess.

Iíve recently pre-ordered both the upcoming debut LP from Deafheaven, Roads To Judah, (Which came with instant digital download of the album) and the second full length from Defeater; Empty Days & Sleepless Nights.

Defeater are touring in May but it looks like Iím going to miss them because I just forked out cash for a new laptop. Now I wonít be able to afford the flights down to Brisbane.

FML.

Finally got around to grabbing the new R.E.M. record, Collapse Into Now today.

It's pretty awesome so far. Builds on the work they started with Accelerate. Very much back to the glory days of the Document era.

Bought these from JB today.

This is pretty cool. Not heard much Bowie yet. Smile

This is also pretty cool. It's perhaps a bit pretentious - and not the usual hip-hop pretension. Lupe has always been a bit odd in that he doesn't seem to like hip-hop much - he's said as much as well when he said he only does it because he's good at it.

With what happened to him and his last album I doubt he'll be releasing another hip-hop album anytime soon. Certainly not with Atlantic Records anyway.

Reckon he should just sign with Kanye's G.O.O.D Music label. Wink

I bought these recently.

Within Temptation - The Unforgiving special edition is definitely worth getting with the dvd extra containing 5 music video's with the first 3 having a spoken prologue that's really gripping.

I wasn't that happy with this album. I'll give a couple more listens, but I was a bit disappointed in it.

Awesome Album. Picked this up a couple of months ago and its been given a good work out since then. Also I like how each song is about a movie or tv show.

Picked up a few albums this week.

Amon Amarth - Surtur Rising
Behemoth - Demigod
Demolition - Kill Zone
Doro - Fear No Evil
Korpiklaani - Ukon Wacka
Savatage - The Wake Of Magellan

I know what you mean. I have most of his albums. There's a couple that I don't have like the latest Stream of Passion release.

Bought this today :

Truth to tell, I'm a bit disappointed in this album and it's all due to Andre Matos the lead singer. His singing is absolutely piss weak. The music is awesome, but the singing is mediocre.

I bought 4 of the "divine Comedy"/Neil Hannon back catalogue, namely

Absent Friends
Regeneration
Victory for the Comic Muse
and The Duckworth Lewis Method (guess what that one is about:p)

I've been meaning to get them for literally years but finally got round to them as I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the garage and wanted something new to listen to Smile

They're a bit of an odd mix, as it's mainly one guy who does folk/pop (he's the main songwriter/singer and performs a load of instruments), often with a topical/satirical slant (and some of it's in French even:eek: ), with stuff like The Happy Goth, Generation Sex (with references to Princess Di's death and the hypocrisy of the media and fickleness of people), The Complete Banker (released last year), The Pop Singers Fear of the Pollen count, The Lost art of convention.

There are some really great lyrics Smile

One of these days I'm going to catch him live, as he tours a lot, and I keep finding out he's been near me just a little late.
[Edit]
Just found out he's performing at a mini festival near me (about 10-15 miles), Mid July, but there is no way I can justify the ticket cost Sad

The first one I'm really interested in since I've listened to and loved Reduced to Nothingness.

I picked this up a little while ago. This is a classic Aussie album and the only album they released.

Roxus - Night Street

On other sites, it shows different album art, but this is the cover that I first bought on tape and now on cd.

There's a lot of quality songs on this album and one of the biggest musical tragedies Aus music wise, for them not carrying on.

Molly Meldrum got them onto his Melodian Records for this album.

It's great. Very Happy I have a hard time getting past "Dragonborn" though haha. Usually play it at least 10 times before moving on to the rest of the record. Razz

Exlusive through here. The place is run by Soule himself and he'll also sign your copy as well which is a nice touch I guess.

Be warned though, it took them two months to ship it and they charged me the day I paid. So effectively they had my money for two months before deciding to ship.

They also can't contact Gmail accounts properly for some reason so it's hard to contact them if you need to and they you. I did eventually get a shipping confirmation but not anything to say it'd been paid for. Communication is quite poor if you have a problem. They apparently tend not to reply to helpdesk stuff. Confused There was a bit of a problem when it was first released and nobody had their questions answered.

Otherwise, once they shipped it it didn't take all that long. No seal on the discs but they're packed in a small bubble-wrapped pouch.

It certainly is worth it though even though there may be a bit of a hassle. Smile

"Dragonborn" is epic, to be sure.

I didn't have any trouble when ordering my copy. I received notification of payment almost instantly, and another a few days later saying it had been sent. To my Gmail account as well.

It's been out for a while now, maybe there was a backlog of early orders.

Nah, mine wasn't an early order. Some people are getting confirmation and getting it shipped quick and others aren't. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication it's a bit hard to say why.

These came recently from cduniverse.

Stream of Passion - The Flame Within

Guilt Machine - On This Perfect Day

I ordered this thru jb-hifi, but after 3 months and it not showing up, had to cancel the order and then order it thru cduniverse.

Done by Arjen Anthony Lucassen the creator of Ayreon, Ambeon, Star One and Stream of Passion.

About this album, is the song Sail Away to Avalon part of it?.

I'm wondering due to the link below.

Elder Scrolls - Sail Away to Avalon by Arjen Anthony Lucassen
I came across this while looking at Arjen (Ayreon) Lucassens website.

Got The Beatles Yellow Submarine (the 2009 remaster). And I just found out that the Yellow Submarine Songtrack is being rereleased (in the new remaster format) along with the movie's Blu-ray release in May.
