Hey guys. Just a quick question about the eight original Eva volumes and the two movies that were released. Did all of those DVD's come with inserts? I know my movies didn't come with them (or atleast i don't think), and I'm just wondering after seeing some U.S releases containing them. Also some of my platinum volumes have inserts. Anyway, thanks.

If you mean booklets, the Madman platinum release of the series had one in each volume (or should have), but Death and Rebirth and EOE dident have any.

Only if you got the boxset of platinum, the fatpack doesn't contain the inserts does it?

That is correct - The Fatpack does not come with any inserts or booklets and as far as I am aware, previous Madman releases of The End of Evangelion and Death and Rebirth don't either.

How about the classic volumes (the original volumes 1-8 ) did they come with inserts? I remember my vol.02 on VHS did, I think, but do the DVD versions come with inserts?

I just checked my copy of the Madman thin grey boxset Perfect Collection release and they don't contain any inserts.

As many mentioned, the platinum DVDs didn't come with inserts.
I'll give you the hot tip though - If you bought a R4 Platinum DVD and it doesn't have the insert, the R1 inserts are identical, so just buy one of those. Smile

err our Platinum DVDs had booklets in them. This is 100% confirmed.

Only the classic ones didn't have an insert because it was not required.

The boxset of the Platinum does have booklets, I think it is only the fatpack that doesn't so there should be no need to get R1 copies. I don't think anyone in this thread has said that their platinum edition came without inserts.
On the left is the Perfect Collection which doesn't have any (8 volumes), next to it is the Platinum Collection (7 volumes) which does have inserts included.

The only "insert" that came with the originals was a form in volume 8 to get a Perfect Collection box for $20.

Sorry, that was a 'mistype'.
What I meant to type is that the Platinum Collection DOES come with inserts, however, if you bought a R4 one second hand that didn't contain an insert, just buy a R1 copy real cheap like I did (some volumes were .25 cents) and THEY contain the same insert.
