The 64th and final episode of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood television anime series ended in Japan on Sunday with an announcement that production on a theatrical version has been green-lit. The 64th television episode matched the ending from Hiromu Arakawa's original manga, and Anime Expo is hosting the episode's American premiere on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Source.

So. Ther you go, FMA fans. Another movie. Neede? Wanted? For? Against?

Personally, I just wish that properties be allowed to stand on their own without additional spin-offs or additions.

This makes me slightly angry for some reason. Brotherhood, on it's own, is amazing, so I don't see a reason for a movie to be made to make it any better.

Though I'm wonder what this movie would entail now.

Really depends on the content. There are a few things in the ending that could be expanded on rather nicely, so it could work. On the other hand, it could end up like Conquerer of Shamballa, which I have mixed feelings for.

My initial thought was that this was gonna be some kind of two-hour summary of the series, but I don't quite think that would work (or be any good).

I agree.
I've said before the early story has potential, but I was thinking in terms of an OVA series. I'm looking forward to it.

I reckon it will be a retell. Like the Eureka 7 movie against its original series.

So, will this be the first in a series of 'Brotherhood' movies?

No further movies have been announced, but they may, if this one is successful, I guess.

So it appears there is no continuity to the series, this is more a filler (like the Bleach and Naruto movies). Which is kind of good, I didn't want them to ruin the series.
