Not sure if this is the genre you mean but there is Satoshi Kon's Paranoia Agent (2004) http://www.madman.com.au/series/home/2124/paranoia-agent

If you don't mind a Japanese only comedy/detective release there is Tantei Opera Milky Holmes (2010).

There's the following :

L/R - A bit plain looking, but a James Bond type of series.

Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex - One of the best of its type. Surprised no one mentioned it yet. Razz

You're Under Arrest - Getting on in age, but still a very good series. Get while you can.

Heat Guy J - A nicely done cop and android partner series set in the future.

Try the animated series Mystery TV Themes: Agatha Christie's Great Detectives.
Good luck in finding a copy.

Gosick is a great mystery/detective anime, it's basically Sherlock Holmes.

I wouldn't call it a detective series, may have bits and pieces from memory but far from any standard detective type series, seeing as it's more police traffic work, you seem to be missing the mark

Can't comment on the other shows you mentioned as i havent seen em

True, it does have bits and pieces, but it is still a good cop series. Wink

I can't believe that you haven't seen GitS-SAC speedy. Are from another planet or something?. Razz

While I can't really recommend it as it hasn't started airing yet, it begins in Japan on Oct 13, you could try Un-Go. Siren aquired the rights and it will be streaming on ann.

The concept sounds interesting and it's from Bones so it might be worth a look.

Here's a link to the press release on ann http://www.animenewsnetwork.com.au/press-release/2011-09-23/siren-acquires-un-go
