Some of you guys may have heard, we are having a yard sale this weekend at our old Collingwood Warehouse. Rare discounted DVDs, manga and also some clearance goodies and gems will be available. There will also be plenty of rare merch on offer like framed posters figures and more.

We are also selling office furniture and chairs so bring your trucks and vans.

Saturday 26th of May
8am - 3pm

Details can be viewed here:
http://www.madman.com.au/htmlmail/special/2012_05_may/yardsale/

To answer some really silly questions we've been getting:
1. No we cannot sell items online.
2. No we will not hold this sale in anywhere else other than our old office.. the whole point of this sale is to get rid of some of our treasures that just won't fit into our new office space in Richmond.
3. There is car parking available behind the laneway and also out front on Wellington Street.

As long as paying by Card will be allowed? Then I won't have to carry a large amount of cash on me.

I've already planned my trip over from Adelaide.

Night Stalker, I believe on the Facebook page it says EFTPOS will be available.

Not sure what I plan on getting out of this. Hopefully, some boxsets that are no longer available that I don't have, or even ones I have as fatpacks (that I'll sell off later)

Still, definitely worth the trip..
Very Happy

This sale will be a great chance to bulk up my collection and, hopefully, get some StreetPasx.

This makes me wish I was in Victoria. If I didn't have a doctors appointment on Saturday I would be tempted to fly down that way.

ouch thats harsh
I was considering going seeing I am in melb but I dont have a car and was thinking would it be worth the taxi cost,

how are the items going to be displayed? is it we get to go thru the madmans old HQ and pick things off of the desks/walls/floors? or will it be in there whearhouse sitting around? would it be in the car park? (hope it wouldnt be raining)

oh would we get trollies or would we need to lug around the big things while we look at all the other stuff we want to get our hands on? (but then I think some of us would need forklifts)

Melbourne has this crazy thing called public transport. More convenient than a taxi, cheaper too.

Buy one of those two wheeled shopping carts that people use for shopping. Kinda like this. I got one from the rejet shop, but it's made from material rather than metal. Has tons of room inside.

So... who went? I did, got many, msny bags packed to the brim with manga and DVDs. And a bunch of DS streetpass.

Good day all around. Was slightly disappointed to not find any Hetalia, the complete collection of Gurren Langan or Akira on BR , but can't have everything. I think finding the Urotsukidoji manga kind of made up for it--well that and the other things I was finally able to cross off my list.

I did notice the later people started to arrive the less polite they were. Everyone before, kudos for keeping it orderly and helping.

I arrived around 11:30, and it was already pretty messy; it was hard just to try and find what I did. All the good stuff would've been gone by then I'd imagine. Although I didn't really go for Anime, mainly just Manga.

Managed to get 60 Manga volumes there, could have bought more if I bought Bleach, or the odd Black Cat ones that were still there.

Non Anime buys included:

Let the Right One In (Blu-Ray)
Big Tit Zombie
Ernest Comedy Box (5 Movies)

The rest of my goodies will be listed in the R4 Anime Buys, and Manga Buys sections.

Vol's 1, 7, and 11 weren't there when I found them unfortunately. I did snag the 7 vol's that were left at least.

I got there at 7:45 and there would have been 100+ people ahead of me in the line and at 8 there would have been just as many behind me

have to say I was a bit supprised by some of the items, seen someone walk away with a FMA black tin (a lot of whites and reds but didnt see any blacks other then that one)
and I missed out by a second for a box set of witch hunter robin Sad

a little diaspointed in the posters, some wore good but some had broken glass when I got to looking. oh well
other then death note collector fig's I couldnt find anyother

all in all I had fun, bought some dvds (seeing I already had the ones I was intersted in, one draw back with having a big collection you dont get the full benifite of sales like this) some manga and a hoodie
spent total of $70
