I'd be interested in Neptunia if it was Blu-ray.

No, it's the recent Ping Pong The Animation.

Interesting. Makes me wonder if there's a connection between the 2. The Ping Pong Club was simple in the animation, but bloody hilarious.

Ping Pong will have to be as good, if not better to get my attention.

Ping Pong's animation is... different. Or so I've heard. AnimeLab has it, if you want to see for yourself.

I'll pass on AnimeLab. I might google it for images.

I think I'll pass on getting Parasyte as I still can't get my head around Shinichi wearing glasses and that he doesn't look like Shinichi even if he took the glasses off. Sad Sad

I'll stick to the manga that Del Rey finished releasing before they shut down their manga division. At least there, you'll see Shinichi NOT wear glasses.

Ping Pong was probably the best show of 2014, truly an amazing piece.

It's the live action Parasyte, not the anime.

Thanks for clarifying that. It might be interesting to see what the live action one is like.

Angelic Layer is a decent Clamp series that MM has had for 10 years or so. I watch it every now and then and deals with a young girl Misaki who goes to Tokyo in order to reunite with her mother and comes across the battle doll game 'Angelic Layer'.

I have no idea about what the other series is about.

Hyperdimension Neptunia is about moe anthropomorphised gaming systems - Neptune is the unmade successor to the Sega Saturn; others represent Playstation, XBox and Wii. They're goddesses of the land of Gamindustri and they trandform onto Purple Heart, Black Heart, Green Heart and White Heart to fight evil. Lots of gaming jokes.

That's the basic rundown of the HN universe, based on the first game. There may be more characters than that and the plot may be focused elsewhere in the anime, which I haven't seen yet.

That reminds me of the Yukikaze spoof Fighting Fairy Girl - Rescue Me Mave Chan, but that was only an episode long. Wink Maybe even Hetalia.

It might be worth a try.

Indefinitely delayed. There were some mastering issues that needed to be addressed.

Thanks for the info. It's better it's delayed and it's done properly. I have high hopes for the Madman release.

The good news Angelic Layer is another series I have been after.
I'm curious what artwork they went with for the cover.

hmm, interesting i just had a look at MAL does not sound too bad but is it easily described as "Pokemon with Battle Dolls"

I may avoid it then, I enjoy a good comedy but it sounds like the main cast are all girls also probably has fanservice those two things together really put me off shows

Angelic Layer isn't Pokemon with battle dolls. Lol. Each player only has one doll that they customize as they all have a generic look at the start. The battles tend to be held in massive arenas for people to watch. The Angelic Stage is where the dolls come to life and fight and I have no idea on how they can create physical switchable 3D environments in it. ⊙.⊙

The series also has a decent ending and at times moved me to tears, especially towards the end. I watch my anime in English, so I'm going by how well the VA's do in it.

I think this series is more for the girls, but as a guy I enjoyed it. It's just that the angel wings on the side of the helmets during the battles, makes me embarrassed to play it in public. Wink

Angelic Layer cover.

Thanks for the link.

Nice cover. It sucks the rating has to take up so much space on the cover. I guess it's the law in Australia.

It's either that or try to get one of the old boxsets that MM or ADV done. I have the boxset from MM.

All my Madman boxes have the big rating logo on it, It's fine.

I do like US covers better because they don't have big ratings on them compared to AU, UK or even DVDs and BDs from my own country for that matter.

It's not something that will keep me way from an anime release I want.

This will be the second last bleach collection.

Unless they start making the Anime again, which probably won't happen for awhile.

Angelic Layer cover art is the same as the fatpack I have from a few years ago. Main difference is it has a few less logo's. glad to see Madman re-releasing this series, it's really enjoyable and fun series.

I will be getting
Bleach Collection 26

Maybe
Sword Art Online 2 Part 1 (Blu-Ray)

I didn't really like SAO so still deciding if I was SAO2 to complete my collection.
