What Cartoon/Animation Movie or Show are you watching now?

I just started watching 101 Dalmations 2, with my baby sister. It's a shame that the didn't use the same VA as the first one.

Best part of the whole movie is the keyboard montage scene! Laughing

"In the Night Garden - Who's Here?" Watched it earlier this morning as it is one of the twin's favorites. As an adult watching this you seriously have to consider whether psychoactive substances were used by the creator's of this program, it is soo trippy!

Daria gets much better the older you are.

It is also finally coming to DVD next year and I can't wait.

I just watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with my sister. She loves that show, I think I've seen it at least 50 times.

I'll tell my wife that tonight - she'll be super stoked Very Happy We're both huge fans, and yes, it continues to get better as you get older.

Now I have the "Frickin' friends" song in my head... thanks Gouki Wink

Erky and Perky...it's about bugs living in the kitchen looking for food scraps.

It's quite amusing even though it's for children.

Nobody knows. Justlike nobody knows if the episodes will be uncensored, if they will have the original music, if there will be any extras, if they will be season sets or episode collections or ifthe movies will be reissued.

So. Yeah.

I forgot about the music licensing bit - the previously released movies on DVD sounded so... silent without all the original music and stuff.

Daria is awesome.

Family Guy and American Dad are one of my favourites.

Actually I prefer American Dad for some strange reason because it's a bit like the show ALF.

Roger and Alien hiding with a Family on Earth which is exactly like ALF.

Patrick stewart who does the voice for Stans boss is hilarious.
But the jokes are funny.

Family Guy jokes are funny but the stories are a bit weird compared to American Dad.

OOOOH WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME?

Speaking of which, I'm having a Drawn together Marathon right now, and it's till funny. Horrible, horrible stuff that I know I shouldn't laugh at but but I can't help it, and I don't mind. Can't wait for the movie in March.

after much debate (and most likely - a lot of bribing on missys' part with the beast) we are currently watching "spirit - stallion of the cimarron" i love the songs in it - bryan adams does well...

WHY what's wrong with you
This is a cartoon thread right? So why complain?

Family guy and American Dad are good shows, even if the jokes are a bit strangely funny.
When I first saw Family Guy I wasn't really into it until I started watching more of it.

Hate it or love it...but I'm not forcing you to watch it so why complain?

This is so true. I saw the second Madagascar without seeing the first and was so disappointed when I got around to the previous one. Hoping the third will be good.

And Penguins... is hilarious.

The second was fantastic. Just as good as the first. I need to see it again before I can definitively say if it is better or not.

I was afraid of Madagascar 2 being aflicted with lame-sequel disease, might look it up now, I thought the first was funny, especially those penguins Very Happy

I'm currently going through the first box of season 2 of Thundercats. It's awesome, because the voice cast is so small and a lot of them do multiple characters and it's easy to tell when they're doing a secondary character Very Happy

The best thing about Thundercats is undoubtedly the opening animation.

The opening is the only good thing about Thundercats Razz

I noticed how they recapped the first movie as well after the opening scenes of the movie. The end of 2 does kinda leave it open for a 3rd one, though not that it matters to me if they did continue it or not

Agreed on the Penguins also Very Happy

Mind, I like the whole thing, but that's because I'm a bit weird and like old cartoons.

As an aside, did anyone know that Inspector Gadget was animated in Japan? I caught a few minutes last night as my wife and I were channel surfing and had a crazy feeling from looking at how it was animated that the production work on the animation was farmed out to Japan, and sure enough in the credits, it was all there. Much the same as how Thundercats had all its animation farmed out to Japan as well. And M.A.S.K., as well as plenty of others.

BTW, back onto animation in general, I was reading in this morning's The Australian that Disney are working on a return to hand-drawn animation with Lasseter having a hand in production/management of the project. Sounds awesome, I love Disney theatrical animation. Hopefully they execute it well this time, the last couple of traditional animated movies were a bit rubbish (though I loved Lilo & Stitch Smile ).

Ha, I happen to be watching Futurama right now, too. Razz Bender's Big Score, probably the only good one of the four direct-to-DVD movies.

Also watched the two Treehouse of Horror episodes of the Simpsons that were on tonight. Yeesh, they were terrible. The old ToH episodes are fantastic, but this...not so great.

They were the latest two ToH's, I believe. #20 played at 7:30, then #19 at 8:00, which was odd but amusing.

Just finished Lilo & Stitch fr the first time in a while, my partners favourite movie of all time. It's hard not to get taken in by how charming the whole thing is.

I absolutely *love* that movie. By far my fave 2D-animated Disney release since Mulan, which I also loved.

I mention that 2D bit because I liked Chicken Little Wink
