Well, I've seen the entire series, but only 1-10 were released here so far, so I won't count episodes 11-26.

From episodes 1-10 I'd have to say episode 5. Ballad of the Fallen Angels.

Honky Tonk Women (Hello Faye!)

Waltz For Venus (I'll leave it up to your imagination to work out why...)

Ganymede Elegy (Dealing with Jet's past.)

Jupiter Jazz Part 2 (If only for Space Lion... the best 7 minutes of anime music ever.)

Mushroom Samba (Ein on 'shrooms is a funny thing...)

Speak Like A Child (I nearly cried after seeing this episode.)

Pierrot Le Fou (Best CB Villain ever.)

Hard Luck Woman (*sob*)

The Real Folk Blues Part 1 (The first half of one of anime's best endings.)

The Real Folk Blues Part 2 (The second half of one of anime's best endings, and featuring my favourite CB song, 'Blue'.)

From what's been released I'd say Session 5: Ballad Of Fallen Angels.

From what I've seen, either Jupitar Jazz (both parts) or Toys In The Attic. That was hilarious.

From the ones released so far ep 5 gets the cake.

Overall, the entire last half of the series is had to go past. They are all just to good.

#5 Ballad of Fallen Angels is still pretty much the best episode even after you've seen it all. All of the major story-arc episodes are brilliant, but the introduction to Vicious is probably amongst the most stylish anime episodes you'll ever see.

As an enormous nerd, I also have a big soft spot for #23 Brain Scratch.

I like to think of it as the 'Heaven's Gate' episode...

And for those using the UBB code tags to hide spoilers, in my web browser it actually makes them stand out more... Don't ask. Just a big bold SPOILER and a few lines gap should be enough.

Not that I haven't seen the entire series and know that he--

this message prematurely ended.

Out of the episodes that have been released in Australia so far it's easily episode 5 Ballad of Fallen Angels. It has the best 7 minutes of an anime episode ever, from when Rain starts playing till Green Bird stops.

Though overall I prefer Jupiter Jazz parts 1 and 2 over Ballad Of Fallen Angels. I also have to see eps 15-26, though I've seen the awesome movie

I had noticed that Jeranon.

Stupid me, after not having gone to my uni anime meetings for about 6 months, I just had to return on the day when they were on the last disc of CB, so I've already seen ep 25 + 26 when I had't even seen any more of CB past the Sympathy for the Devil episode.

I don't see a problem in posting spoilers, but perhaps the heading should mention the possibility of them, so that people don't accidentally go reading something they shouldn't.

To clear up any confusion, I have no issues with spoilers, but the spoiler stone_monkey brought up previously.. that was just really devastating to me. I just want to make clear I wasn't making an issue out of the spoiler per se. but that when I see the episode I will be upset because of what happens

Out of the first 10 eps I have a 3 way tie for my favourite between:

Ballad Of Fallen Angels (ep 5)
Sympathy For The Devil (ep6)
Waltz For Venus (ep 8)

217 anime DVDs in my collection and growing

I've really got to think of a signature one of these days.

*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*

I'm going TOP5 on this...

* Session 5 - Ballad of Fallen Angels
Works great as a single episode.
Introduces the Spike/Vicious Conflict.
And the 'rain' & 'green bird' sequence
is brilliant.

* Session 11 - Toys in the Attic
Great parody episode. Love the 'blue
danbue' sequence at the end. And the
preview for the next session topped the
episode all together.

* Session 17 - Mushroom Samba
The closest Ed ever gets to having her
own episode. Funny... damn funny.

* Session 20 - Pierrot Le Fou
Creepy. Damn creepy. No other session
has the same atmosphere as this one.
And the revelation/flashback sequence is
excellent.

* Session 24 - Hard Luck Women
Really, I just love 'Call Me Call Me'.

Either Real Folk Blues (1&2), Pierrot Le Feu, Mushroom Sambra or the first episode that introduces Ed (can't remember the Session name)

The episode that introduces Ed is session 9, "Jammin' with Edward".

That was my favourite, now I think it's probably Bohemian Rhapsody.

Of course I've only seen up to disc 3...

nobody mention Cowboy Funk.

Session #5: Ballad of Fallen Angels
A really good episode of Spike Spiegel's old friend Vicious and himself in a duel to the death. A great evil villain. He sure knows how to treat people like crap.

Session #12 and #13: Jupiter Jazz(Part 1&2)
What more can you say. The saxophone solo by Gren and then the follow up with the soft melody of the piano going to the tune of 'Adieu'. Also Julius, lol who also appears in the movie.

Session #25 and #26: The Real Folk Blues(Part 1&2)
A great ending to a great series. What more can you say. Spike confronts himself and asks if his alive or not. He faces himself with nothing to lose against his bitter friend Vicious in a classic...Sword Vs Gun.

"Do you wrestle with dreams?
Do you contend with shadows?
Do you move in a kind of sleep?
Time has slipped away.
Your life is stolen.
You tarried with trifles,
Victim of your folly."

My new favourite episode is Pierrot Le Fou (session 20). That had some of the best action scenes and animation I have seen in the series so far. In fact the whole disc was full of great episodes. The last two for example were quite humorous. Plus the trailers on the DVD were all pretty much brand new (well for me anyway).
